Their pricing structure is simple - $60 for an in-home visit and an on-the-spot quotation for the work with no "hard sell" if you don't want to proceed. Aman arrived on time and with everything needed to complete the repair. He was friendly, courteous and informative throughout. I was told how much the work would cost and given an instant quotation on his iPad. I agreed and once the work was completed paid the invoice right on the device. Interac transfers are also accepted which is a nice alternative, but I always prefer to pay by card wherever possible. Before I booked with Living Services, I researched the cost involved so I knew it wouldn't be cheap. They might be a little more expensive than other companies but given the convenience and accurate time slots for an in-home visit I was fine with that. With today's busy lifestyle I didn't want to be waiting around all day for a contractor visit. From start to finish a great experience matched with excellent customer service. The booking process, appointment confirmation and reminder texts meant that I was kept up-to-date throughout the process. Naz and his crew completely rebuilt our ancient drain system and all did all the waterproofing inside our home. Our basement looked so much better than it originally did. We also built a bathroom in the basement and had to build everything from scratch. It took a bit longer than anticipated but the end result is worth the wait. This was a big complicated job for a 100 year old house where the basement hadn't been touched in 100 years. The job included removal of the old concrete and walls, new drainage, waterproofing, sump pump, crawlspace excavation, and a new concrete slab with hydronic infloor heating. Just as the job started we had a family emergency that kept us extremely stressed, busy, and away from home for days at a time. Nazar said "leave it to me" and took care of everything. His crew, including Andrew, are extremely knowledgeable, hard working (I mean really hard working!), and completely trustworthy good guys. They did an outstanding job, handling all of the inevitable complications (city drain that needed clearing, permit issues, last minute change in design from the engineer) - keeping me posted but not asking for anything from me. I am older and not feeling well that week. I should have got more estimates. I thought the whole soil stack had to be changed and digging required, for it was old cast iron. The bill was $3008 for two visits each lasting about 1 1/2 hour, the plumber came with some other guy second time after I said something about being illegal to work alone.They just changed the elbow to the flange. To be fair, add 2 hours travel. Total 5 hours. That is over $723 an hour. All the other guy did was to vacuum the floor with my shop vac and watch for leaks during final inspection. The final bill also added $607 to reset the toilet and $43 for estimating cost. With tax, that will be around $4133+ for a bad floor gasket. Are you scared by now ??
