First job we hired him for was to fix our sump pump and encapsulate our crawlspace-- he missed an entire section of the crawlspace and his idea of encapsulation is laying plastic in the ground and calling it a day. Did not clean up the mess that was there before (cardboard and what not) - just laid plastic tarps over the floor. He also left a mess of our shower and we have to hire someone else to fix what he did. We were better off doing it ourselves because we haven't been able to use our shower/bathtub since he came to "Fix" it. he had to come back twice to try and fix it and still isn't functional. The second time he came back to fix it, he said he was going to Home Depot to get a part and would be back... almost 2 hours later my husband messaged him asking if everything was okay and Steve told him that HD didn't have the part and they had to order it --- but was he going to let us know or just have us waiting all day for his return? My husband did ask for 50% refund which we are still waiting to get back on our CC -- will edit the post if we receive anything. (Update: as of 09/13, we did receive the partial refund) also- his wife is the first one to "review" him on yelp. Edit: since I can't respond to your response --- I'm not bad mouthing you. Everything I posted in my review is factual. Pictures don't lie. Also- you're stretching with your "above and beyond" comment. Look how you left our bathroom. Very sloppy job, unfortunately, and not what we paid for. We asked you to install the tub surround and you told us we should do it ourselves (instead of saying that's possibly not your scope of work or you just didn't want to do it). We did not pay $1000 for you to leave spray foam around the shower head like you did and not seal the cement board properly, the faucet not functioning, everything not stable in the wall, etc. I could go on. The cement board is no more than $13. You claim you gave it to us at no charge so how did you come up with almost $300 in "parts". Stop scamming people. I haven't even touched upon your sloppy and half-assed "encapsulation" job in our crawlspace. Please stick to what you know and don't try to do jobs you have no experience in.

Even though the water heater is only 2 years old, Frank claimed that he replaced the two elements (he never showed me any evidence that he had in fact replaced them). However, even before he had left the premise, the water heater was again tripping the breaker. Obviously, the problem wasn't being caused by the "bad elements" in the water heater. Frank still charged us $210. He claimed that the elements were still bad, even thought the cause of the short was somewhere else. Frank is a very personable guy. However, I found his work ethics quite questionable.

On a very negative note - 5 days later same problem that was "fixed" broke again. Called back and was returned call 2 days later, but I had reached a different plumber who came and fixed the problem saying that whoever did the first fix did not know what they were doing. Cost to fix was minimal and when I told him what I paid first time he said I was very overcharged.
