We bought a couple stickers here to commerorate our time visiting Portland. My girlfriend also bought a children's forest book for her nephew who enjoyed it. While I didn't purchase anything form the store, it is cute and if you are looking for local unique (both fun and practical) items as gift for someone while visiting Portland or a gift to bring back home to someone or to ship something from home, this is a great little store. They have a number of Pacific North West, Oregon and National Park themed items available. They had pillows, games, books, candles, glasses and a variety of adult and PNW branded children / babies clothes as well. What I found most appealing was the local card and unique wrapping paper section, which I will definitely come back, browse and purchase from myself. Oh - I am also a fan of stickers and they had the best selection I've seen here in Portland to date! After I did a bit more research on the store when I got home, I discovered that the store was named after the owners two (2) rescue dogs ~ "they represent to use that essence of comfortable den home, not too fussy and full of life!" I am a huge rescue dog fan and this made me smile and have even a great affinity for making recommendations to friends, near or far, to check them out. But once you step inside, you're transported into a wonderfully eclectic shop filled with all sorts of treasures. They carry vermouth, bitters, glassware, furniture, posters, and other unique finds--and somehow manage to have an excellent selection in every category. We had an absolute blast browsing the store and ended up picking up some beautiful glassware and a bottle of vermouth. What really elevated the experience was the staff. They were incredibly knowledgeable, took the time to answer all of our questions, and offered thoughtful recommendations without ever making us feel rushed. Pricing felt fair, especially considering how many of the items are unique and hard to find elsewhere. I thought there were very reasonably priced items in here compared to other plant stores I've been to in Portland. They have a great selection of plant accessories as well (clippers, misters, etc). She offered to bag or box my items, which was really helpful to transport them home safely.

I have never seen anything like it and genuinely, if your are like me and like to keep a pear, a few apples and an orange on hand but want them to last - this is not only amazing looking but perfect!! I did purchase a few smaller items. The first was a felt coaster which is so perfect! They have an array of different colors - my choice was a gorgeous burgundy and I loved being able to buy just one. I have coasters for guests which is a whole set but for my daily iced drink covered in condensation, this is so perfect. The card says they are made in Germany by a company called Parkhaus and how to care for and clean the coaster. The other item was a greeting card which I intend to frame. Vancouver Washington artist Claudia Moore makes the cards with foraged leaves and seeds. This is a great spot if you are looking for something unique as a gift or for your home.
