I have been going to TD Bank for many years (it goes back to when they were Commerce Bank). As…read moresuch, the service over the years has always been top shelf. Since I have been working in Bethlehem PA over the last year, more often than not I have been doing my banking at the TD Bank location on Easton Ave in Bethlehem. As such, I feel compelled to share my experience. Simply stated, the staff at this location has exceeded my generally very good experience with other locations over the years. What do they do even better tha others? They are not friendly, but make a point in always asking how everything is going in your life. That's unusual in the post COVID world. In particular I want to give special thanks to Miss Donna and Miss Kelly. I also want to give special thanks to the bank Manager, Miss Francy who I met the day after Thanksgiving. She not only took care of getting me my ATM card (my 1st ever), but made inroads on a special request that I have. She was professional, friendly, self assured, as well spoken and confident as anyone I have met in a while and made me feel that she was taking care of my interests...hands down. Hats off to the people at TD Bank on Easton Ave in Bethlehem. Tony

The world is imploding along with PF CU. Opened an account with trepidation when we moved here…read more Kept our finances in our prior state for a year or two while looking for the right CU for us. The tellers went above and beyond the call of their work requirements by making banking really easy for me. That small satellite closed and I never could get in touch by phone with management (I had their cards). (I can get in touch with them now by text or by calling. That's an improvement but now competent people need to be there.) We use the bank for savings and checking only. But the bank software makes me very nervous. It's nuts. Getting in touch with someone who doesn't lie (on purpose or not), follows through with a promise, and has software that works appears impossible these days. They applied a new version in 12/25 and it is messy. No need to even step in this mud again. I spoke with someone recently to see how to open a CD online. I was getting through it on my own and got stopped dead in my tracks with one question. The process needs clarification so I don't have to guess. I spoke to a "young" woman on the phone. We stepped through making a CD deposit online and kept hitting brick walls. She finally promised she'd get back to me about my suggestion to start the CD all over again (delete the current application) and start anew. She didn't call back and with this bank, that's a "duh". I got through the process on my own. But the test will be whether the last step (takes 4-5 days) is correct (in PF's sw hands). The sw is still bananas. People need education. I'd like some other CU to go to if people would start recommending them in Lehigh Valley, that would be great. I've looked at Great Western (smaller and fewer satellite sites). Yelp for CUs you recommend and why, pls.

Alright, let's bring this one all down the line…read more Same as last time, is this my primary bank? No. Why not? Not enough locations to be relevant and I have a branch of my home bank that I could walk to. Why do business here? Because it's very difficult to beat their rates for auto loans (not the process - just the rates). This is the 3rd car we've done a loan for with these guys. The process: Fill out the initial form on the website regarding some personal information, information about the vehicle and what it is you're looking to do. 48 hours later, a member of their processing staff at Downeyflake Lane reaches out via email asking you to upload copies of several things via a secure PFFCU portal site. The portal site is easy to use and nothing they ask for is unexpected for the process. After they're satisfied, you schedule a time to sign off on the actual paperwork at a physical location which is what led me here. Compared to their prior location on 8th Avenue, this one is fairly inconvenient. Odd corner location at the very much under construction Westgate Mall. While there are parking spaces, the lot is shared with a dry cleaners, barbershop and other businesses. Also, what the hell bank doesn't have a drive up window? The inside is tiny. Only two chairs and if someone else is sitting there waiting to do some more expansive paperwork, there is truly nowhere else to go. Kind of a stupid idea but I assume it was done as a cost saving measure to have such a small footprint. The process was about an hour and there were a few hiccups on their side such choosing a monthly payment date for us versus asking when we would like to pay just like their current portal site apparently doesn't upload images with the best clarity which also caused a bit of a delay. For most of us, a process like this is a necessary evil. To be honest, I could care less who is friendly and who isn't and it wouldn't surprise me if I never step foot back in here again for years. What matters to me is that their rates are great and have been for a very long time. Assuming that doesn't change, we'll be back.
