I invested my retirement funds with Mr. Costellow's firm in Aug. of 2021,it was a sizable amount and Costellow said he would handle it personally, in less than 2 years with Costellow always saying we were down a little but hopefully the market would come back I found out my account was down more than 151,000.00 because of his mishandling my investments. The main reason I'm putting this on google is to help keep other people from losing their retirement funds at the hands of this firm and their financial advisor. If this firm says this post is not true I have the paperwork giving to me by Mr. Costellow showing it did indeed happen!

The people that work there are very nice, however the credit union services are not up-to-date and…read morenot comparable to other banking entities. Surprisingly, they have an app but when using bill pay to a person (not company), mailed checks are the only option for payment, regardless of possession of the receiving person's banking details. No ACH or even next day ACH, only a check that has to be cut and mailed to be received a week later at the earliest. In a world with VENMO and Paypal, a mailed paper check to be received after a week, is not cutting it. I am trying to help my elderly father (who does not have VENMO or Paypal) pay an elderly relative. She would have to wait by the mailbox and then make a trip to her bank to deposit the check. My only other alternative is to quickly pay the relative using my bank that does have ACH payments and then wait a week for my father to pay me back using a check. Disappointed that a simple payment that would take 2 days to process through ACH is now going to take over a week and multiple transactions to complete.

Such a shame this bank has gone so far down hill. We have done so many house loans with Monticello…read morebank I can't even count them. I have sent so many clients to them I can't even count them. But over the past year or so, I've noticed a change. Most recently we had a charge on our debit card that we tried to dispute. I found Monticello to be by far the most difficult bank I've ever dealt with to handle this situation. The staff blamed me for the problem and refused to even attempt a charge back. They didn't even give me the opportunity to tell the whole story. After consulting with 2 other banks I deal with, they both said they would have handled the problem and I would have gotten my money back even if the bank had to foot the bill in order to save our relationship- neither one of those banks saw even close the the volume of business I gave Monticello over the years Monticello is not the bank it once was. I asked the bank president to give me a call which he neglected to do. They have ruined a relationship that paid them ALOT of money over the years over a measelly $137.11. Not only have they ruined this relationship, I plan to tell everyone I know that deals with Monticello and everyone I don't know that mentions Monticello about my experiences. I am furious with them. I only wish I had listened to the other horror stories I've heard about this bank in the last year. If Monticello does not value accounts that bring them all of their rental property loans, investment loans, and house flip loans.....will they value anyone's accounts? There are much better banks in town. I will be giving my business to them from here on out. I'm usually not one to burn bridges, but in this case......
