I had correct information already obtained from loan officer in corporate location in Columbus Ohio, but wanted to make appointment locally to introduce required paperwork. Barb stated that Huntington will absolutely NOT refinance any car loan they carried. This is totally incorrect & verified by corporate loan dept that will will gladly refinance an auto loan. Also even if you have the amount automatically deducted monthly, u have to personally come in and pay the last payment with with coupon they gave you years before. Just take it out like you've been doing! And your online services is a complete lie. Keep it accurate. FYI the money was there for them to take, I just expected an honest service, not getting charged a late fee because they didn't take out the final payment, like they have for the last two years. And they didn't reverse the fee even tho the money was there. Yeah, they are polite jerks on the phone.

I thought all was well till I checked the account today, and the bank claims that the ATM machine balanced, so I do not get the $100 the machine took back. To get another claim, I have to write a letter saying why I don't agree and fax it to Fifth Third. The onus is on me, not Fifth Third Bank!!! I am furious. As of now, I am out $100 because I could not grab the ATM's cash quickly enough and it drew it back in. Now I suppose someone in the bank has stolen $100 out of the machine that should have been mine to make the ATM balance. When I called today, I got someone in the Philippines who was adamant that I took that $100, and the same with the person I finally got to speak with in the US...she was just plain rude.

She is a minor with her mom and I also on the account so it was very clear she needed an account with a low minimum and not a lot of transactions. They clearly set up my daughter's account incorrectly, then corporate closed her account due to non-compliance and "stole" her initial deposit with a promise of check's in the mail from customer service. We will be closing our remaining accounts and finding another bank with competent employees focused on customer experience. On the day her first check was supposed to be deposited she logged in and her account was no longer visible. After 20 minutes on hold, I was told they sent a letter 4 days ago and sent a cashiers check by mail yesterday. They could not provide any details on why the account was closed, what amount was being refunded or when that check would arrive (regular mail - no tracking).
