Well, it looks like I'm the only one that has had a middle of the road experience with them after…read moreutilizing Freedom for about 16 months now. I loved them at first as my servicer. I've never had an issue with my info on the website being correct and I don't mind the layout of their website in general. What I don't like is that they promised to have their website updated in a year and here we are still waiting. You seriously can't save our routing/account number and it has to be entered each time we want to make a payment. I'm kind of sick of googling what my routing number is each time I have to do this. Fix this, it makes you look pretty incompetent to the countless other sites who can secure this information effectively. But like I said, beyond that....I really like everything that Freedom has done. That was up until I was contacted via letters over the summer to lower my interest rate by refinancing with them, even though I only had the loan with them for about 9 months at the time. So I started the process and at first had a really great call with one of their reps who spent about 25 minutes with me going over everything on the phone in terms of what rates I would be looking at and what new payments would be estimated to be. But then over the course of the next few weeks after I received the paperwork, the ability to contact my rep got less and less frequent. I'd email and get no response. Then I'd have to call and may get lucky if they were available so he would drop everything to talk to me. But other times, I left a voicemail after the email contact didn't work and also didn't hear back even after leaving that. I don't feel I'm demanding but with something as big and important as this, I often had many questions that only had a decent response rate of about 50%. In retrospect, I ended up being happy that the process at first took so long because Brexit came along and tanked the rates. So I told the rep to put an end to my first application as I waited for rates to bottom out. Had they been a little more competent, I would have ended up with a higher rate. They wouldn't offer me a bottom of the barrel rate and I was a little miffed at it at first, given that they were close to 3.5% but I was being offered much higher than that for the simple fact that it was a "no closing cost refi". Eventually, I went over the math with my rep and it would take me over four years to recoup the difference if they offered me the lowest possible but with closing costs rolled in. So a little back and forth once again with the same issues as before in terms of response times, about four months after beginning the process, I was able to finally close. There haven't been any problems since then and it was easy to delete the old paid off loan from my online account and get the new one added, never missing a beat. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that this summer was likely the busiest time they've ever had considering rates were so low. However, it was an excruciating long process and customer service could have been much better overall.

Update Dec 2019…read more YES!!!!!!! I am so glad interest rates went down. I was able to refi and had the loan broker put in the contract to BAN Freedom mortgage from being allowed to service my loan. Freedom did try to contact me to refi.... BUT WHY??? After the incompetence I've experienced, why would I want to punish myself. I would never willingly be a Freedom Mortgage Customer. I am so done with Freedom mortgage that I will not even entertain an apology or attempt at resolving the "issue" as ongoing systematic incompetence is not something you can just right My Freedom mortgage loan closed and they only refunded the escrow, not the overpayment for the month of November. I called and they put me on hold for almost an hour and HUNG UP!!!! Just more incompetence or trying to avoid paying what they owe? My wife had called a week prior and spoke to a rep and cleared it all up. As far as we were concerned, we were just waiting for a refund check of the overpayment. On my My very first assessment of this company was unfortunately spot on. What is really sad is the message they play while you are on hold claim to take care of your loan so you can take care of your home and your life. If you do that, you will most likely lose your home and mess up your life. You have to babysit them, and do a lot of the leg work yourself. The other claim they make is to hold for one of their "experienced" team members will answer. Really? If they were experienced, I wouldn't have to call in the first place. Please, for the sake of your sanity, STAY AWAY from this company, unless you enjoy stressing out over losing your home because they "forgot" to pay your taxes. but don't take my word for it, just read the hundreds of other postings.

With the government programs time can be an issue that can delay your closing and that did not happen. Rob and Matt were very professional and always have prompted responses to calls or emails. They answered any questions I had. They also have an app that I utilized though out the whole process. it was especially useful when I was looking at homes to get an idea of what my cost per month would be with it's easy to use calculator. Rob always checked in on me through out the hole process. I would highly recommend them for your mortgage company.

(This is no exaggerating) After I told Joe Cordova i switched, I got a series of rude emails from him saying how he didn't respect me and doesn't want to work with anyone affiliated with me.. I actually took the higher road and apologized that it didn't work out but in reality I don't owe him or evesham an apology for doing what's best for me and my family. After that it was obvious this company only cares about making money off of you. They're unprofessional and rude. Theyre the used car sales men of the mortgage industry. I would not recommend using them. There's way better options that offer better rates and are way more professional.Take it for what it's worth.
