Everything was great in the beginning and I paid my fees and paid for appraisal. Then after weeks of waiting I am informed that I don't qualify for a 15 yr mortgage. Annoying why didn't they tell me from the start. So we start over for a 30 yr which women said is easy for me to get. I'm going for a small mortgage compared to what my house is worth. After 4 months of them playing around I get turned down for my tiny mortgage and they won't call me back when I try to find out how this can be. Horrible bank and rude people that won't return your calls. Don't use them!!!

Their website gives you just enough options to do basically nothing. Open a home equity line of credit? Good luck paying it off. There is only two ways to pay down your principal, 1) assign an amount that you want to come out each month from your WISE checking account--something you must open along with the loan (NOTE: the only way to change this amount is to have them mail you a form which you need to fill out, sign, and mail back to them--can't just change it online), and 2) get in your car, drive to a branch, fill out another form, and give them a check for the amount to be applied to the principal (can't just do this online). Just as easy as when your grandparents had a loan. On top of the Bank of Princeton's inability to be flexible or convenient in any way, getting a consumer service representative on the phone is a bit tricky. Call the (609) 921-1700 customer service number (on their main website) during normal business hours and you'll probably get... no one. After six attempts on three separate days I decided to go back through my email, find the person that processed my loan, and call them. Success! Unfortunately they didn't have all the answers to my questions, like "Why hasn't any of my pre-assigned monthly principal payment been made in the last billing cycle?" and "Is there a minimum amount I need to assign to have money go to my principal each month?" The representative figured out the first question but never resolved the second. When I shared my displeasure and frustration regarding my (three month) banking experience with them she replied, "I'm sorry. I know we don't make it easy." And that really incapsulates the whole experience. Bank of Princeton--We're sorry, we don't make it easy.

Not only is this a cashless bank, but the "convenient "drive up ATM where you can do your deposits…read moreusually does not work.. I've been here on several occasions and it tells me I cannot do any deposits. Basically this is like an atm up Wawa without the coffee. Although Wawa is much more user-friendly and rarely has it systems down.
