Okay, I don't know why I've never heard of RMT Movement before because they've been around for…read moreyears and they're literally the first place that pops up when you google 'massage Brampton'. Anyways, thankfully my gf discovered them and recommended I try them out. Best decision ever. First of all, their online booking system is hella convenient. In addition, surprise, surprise, TONS of evening and weekend options available. They're even open on Sundays! It's really hard to book last minute evening or weekend massages, but they're pretty flexible here. I had booked a Saturday appointment for the first weekend in November with Leana (my friend recommended her, after a session with her), but my body was super sore I couldn't take it anymore. I booked for the soonest weeknight, which was 5 days away. They also have the option to fill out your pre-appointment forms online, which again, totally convenient! When you get there, there are no forms to fill out. Simply just have a seat and wait. While chatting with Leana, she mentioned they had only been at this current location for about a month. Lucky for me, this is closer to my home. I like how they have diffusers with different oils, but I wish they would blast the mist or pour in more drops cuz I'm tryna breathe all those good scents in lol. Anyways, Leana was great. She got a sense of my stiffness and what was bugging me by making me do some stretches before the actual massage. She applied a heating pad to my sore back and shoulders while she worked on my legs. I have never had this done before. I like when new and different techniques are introduced to me. It's totally boring when people do the same techniques over and over. She definitely got the knots out of my shoulders. This is what was bothering me the most. She also smoothed out my neck muscles and I had way more mobility after. I feel way better now and I can't wait to return in two weeks!

I felt that my experience was subpar in comparison with what I could see from Linda, the masseuse that was working my mom's feet non-stop. I was making light conversation with Harry who often paused throughout. This was noticable to my mom who made mention of it to me in another language even though I was aware. I didn't want to make a fuss and said all was good. The foot massage was decent. I had higher expectations though considering it's specialized and geared towards feet but basically felt that I could have gotten a great full body massage at my regular spot with a foot massage included. Harry noticed swelling in one of my calves and was careful when working my leg. He pointed out plantar fasciitis, which I've also pondered as having. It was refreshing to see that he was observant to these subtle differences. My mom enjoyed her massage greatly in spite of the sensitivity she experienced as a result of tense muscles and tender points. Now this is where things get murky.. At the time of my booking, the lady who was booking us in mentioned that instead of purchasing another Groupon, to buy direct from the store and they would match the price I paid for the Groupon for another massage. When I brought this up to the two ladies at the front reception, seeing as I was keen on purchasing another two (one for mom who obviously enjoyed it and to give myself and the place another chance), I was told that this was incorrect and that I could not receive another Groupon massage. I was trying to explain that it wasn't for another Groupon but based on the information relayed to me, that a price match for two reflexology massages would be honoured. The point was completely missed as I kept getting told that the deal is based on a body massage, which made no sense to me and as such, didn't pursue the matter further. The place is clean and the area we were seated in is comfortable. We sat on leather sofa chairs resembling massage chairs. Would have been amazing had they really been. I liked that they maintain hygiene by placing plastic bags in wooden pails as opposed to a foot basin. Employees are nice. Not everyone speaks English well so communicating poses as a challenge, especially when you're trying to understand why pressure points are achy, which ones and ways to alleviate the tension.

The facility is very clean and simple, with dimmed lighting and soothing music playing. The beds are comfy and you can easily find yourself dozing off during your massage. The process is simple, a health assessment, and then the massage. However, they went above and beyond and offered stretches to assist with specific tight areas the masseuse noticed. The masseuses are RMT's and are excellent, very professional, and quite knowledgeable. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, relaxing and very clean. I believe that it was recently opened, but it was very zen and made my partner and I both quite comfortable. There is all this talk about being pressured into signing up for a membership - but my partner and I did not experience this at all. We were offered to sign up, but were not pressured. There is a $20 savings per appointment for a standard 1 hr massage if you have the membership, I believe. However, you are welcome to continue going there and just paying the 'non-member price'.
