THIS GUY CHARGES $55 FOR A 1 SIGNATURE NOTARY!! RIDICULOUS!! I called ahead of time and asked how much do you charge for notary. His response "Umm why don't you come in and I'll tell you." I walk in and oddly they keep the door locked. So I had to knock for someone to open the door to let me in. There were two asian ladies and they looked at my document and started talking amongst each other in their language. (RUDE). I informed them that all I require is 1 signature, it's a very simple document and asked how much it will be. They then told me to have a seat. A minute later this asian guy in his late 50s tells me to meet him at his desk. I ask how much to have 1 signature notary and he says "It usually costs about $55 but today I'll give it to you for $35". That's when I knew these people are a joke and a fraud!! I immediately took my papers and walked out!! I then called Express Mail and Notary (Artesia & Crenshaw Blvd next to Liberty Tax and Western Union shopping center) down the block and they only charged me ONLY $10 for my document. Paul provides excellent service! He's the cheapest rate when comes to rolling fees for livescan and employers contract with him to get the best rates. He also does a public notarized signature for a good rate; if you get a DOJ livescan it will cost $65 (that's with the mandatory federal fees + rolling) What I really liked was that he was knowledgeable on how to work with dry hands like mine. He uses Corn Husker's Lotion and applied friction to get the job done. If you have dry hands I recommend moisturizing prior to getting the livescan done as it will not properly read on the scanner. the owner guy of this business was very unprofessional and rude in conducting his service. i went there to get a notary public and when i asked to use the restroom after paying for my service he declined to let me use it!!! several months later after misplacing my receipt, i went back there to kindly ask for another one, he again declined! if you want to save yourself some headaches, find another notary public! When I gave him a letter to be notarized, he didn't understand the verbiage (neither did I), so took the time to make sure everything was legitimate before he proceed. This was the worst service I have ever taken in my entire life. I had to go here for taking fingerprint due to my job requirement. I have sweaty hands so I was charged extra $5 for taking finger prints which I logically understood.(I have taken finger prints in the past and I have NEVER charged extra money for that reason.) I am aware that I have some difficulty due to my hands so I try to calm myself to not sweat much. BUT, HE MADE ME FEEL SO ANXIOUS AND HORRIBLE. He said my hands were too much, and it was more than average. Guess what? NONE OF THESE STATEMENTS HELP ME TO RELAX! It just made me feel worse and nervous. I was shamed by his statements. I did not choose to be born with sweaty hands! After he finished taking my finger prints, he still mentioned about them, so I claimed that there was nothing I could do. It was genetic thing. Of course, he did not care, and kept going. I cannot believe I paid money and I had to experience this awful shamed feeling. After I left the place, I checked Yelp. Had to come back to this place to get a copy of a fingerprint scan that I never received only to be told that I am a liar and he had given me one the first time. Then he told me that he had faxed over my fingerprint scan to the employer so I proceeded to call my HR rep and let him know and he told me that that was not allowed due to the personal information on the Life Scan. RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I called in inquiring as to whether they currently offered LiveScan services and if so what the average price or price range was. Similar to a previous reviewer, I was told that I would have to come in with the paperwork for him to determine the price. I also asked about accepted payment methods and was told they accepted cash only. I went in earlier this evening with my paperwork and quickly learned that this is a shady and unprofessional establishment. First off you must knock at a locked glass door for entry and you are locked in once you gain access. Once inside, I handed the guy my paperwork and ID in hopes of getting a quote for the requested services and he proceeds to enter the information to obtain the price. Once he told me the price I informed him that I would have to come back because I didn't have enough cash on hand and he rudely states why did I have him enter the information then because he told me it would be cash only when I called? I reminded him that at this point I had only asked for the quoted price and I did not appreciate his rudeness. I left this business (once he unlocked the door for me to exit) and WON'T be returning. As instructed, I called to verify that he was available, which he was, in which I proceeded to discuss the fee that I found online for his services for $15. Paul told me the total cost was $30 and when I proceeded to ask him some questions he stated, "Don't argue with me, I'm trying to help you," in an extremely rude tone.
