I recently purchased a home with this company and their Loan office Paulo Garcia, We ripped us off, taking Advantage that we were first time buyers, First we had agreed our Mortgage was going to be $1,700 for our house, than said he will get down payment for us, (that was money we didn't have to pay back).. I husband and I kept asking when will he have the final numbers for us, he kept saying he's waiting for the CD, which has nothing to do with the final numbers, him and the Realtor knew how much our mortgage was going to be, and they both knew that if they told us, before the settlement we weren't going to accept it, so we went to the settlement, and when we were seating at the table, we were about to sign, the person in charge at the Title company told us our mortgage was going to be $1,915.85 + another loan he got for us, that we were not AWARE OF UNTIL SETTLEMENT DAY.. he got us another loan for the down payment which we had agreed we didn't have to pay back, if there was any changes in our loan, she should had notify it to us immediately, which he never did, NOW we have 2 loans to pay and our mortgage is way too much than we can really afford to pay. Also the settlement was done on 6/8/18 and we still did not get our taxes back from him, that's our original taxes he kept, and never returned to us, I sent him an email, and my husband called him too. I don't think this is the way to help someone buy their first home. We are working on filing a complaint with the board of loan officers. Please do yourself a favor and stay back from this company.. or you will be ripped off as well.

After investing an entire week of at home study with Arthur Gray, my experience with their…read morematerials and testing was so frustrating that I decided starting over with another company would be more pleasant and worth my time than to continue on with this company.  Here's why I gave 2 stars. I was instructed to print at home the 130 page study guide. First of all this seems like something that should be mailed to me and part of what I'm paying for, rather than me printing at home, but that's a minor annoyance. The major annoyance was the entire format of the 130 page guide looks like a Table of Contents. There's nothing that looks like a traditional study guide or a place that welcomes note taking and learning. It's truly bizarre and was a complete waste of paper. The online PDF reading/study material I was provided included a 73 page PDF and also a 57 page PDF which has at least 25 pages of exact duplicate information. This is what I'm trying to convey in my review. It's madness when you're studying and trying to learn, and find answers and the documents are not helping. In some cases I'd spend an hour on just one quiz question, reading through multiple sources that were disjointed. It's like the company just attached a whole bunch of info and said, here you go, instead of compiling it all into a cohesive and helpful reading guide. Overall, the content and communication that was sent to me was very disjointed and not counter-intuitive. I'm intelligent, resourceful, ready and excited to learn but this company was not for me. I got a refund from Arthur Gary and started all over with the another local company and my new experience has been night and day better!
