This was my first time visiting Pockets! We enjoyed the canned drinks available as well as the cocktail menu! The kickoff sampler was filling and enough for two; the wing sauce options are reasonable! While the customer service wasn't my concern it was often distracted, highly. The staff were doing a deep clean of the restaurant, not in-service table resets but an overall deep clean mid-service with tables present. So with a lot of ladders, ceiling tiles not being present and condiments/napkin bins all over it didn't contribute well to the ambiance/experience. Well, today I was seriously hungry and wanted a drink. So I sat a table and waited. Waited for 15 mins actually. The place wasn't even packed. The waitress that finally got my order wasn't in the best of moods, guess. Like the place is cool. But if you want fast service, probably want to avoid this pockets and go to another one. I ordered the spring mix chicken salad, and when I started to eat it, I found a dirty napkin in it. I immediately told the waitress and she gave it back to the kitchen. No one ever came to apologize for the incident or even offered a discount. I will never go back there!!! Be careful if ordering food from there. read more

came to play some pool and have fun with friends but as soon as we got there server was very rude and never even bothered to check up on us I understand it gets busy but if you can't even check up on your customers why bother taking our order. not to mention we waited more then 30- 40 min at one point n not once did she come by. I had to go and ask for the check I was going to spend way more but she couldn't even bother checking up on us so we all just stopped ordering and tried closing our tabs but even when we asked to close them out she took another 20 min just to give the receipt then we left. come to find out the next day that server put herself a tip we didn't put one this is because she didn't deserve it. don't matter how much the ticket was you gave us bad service n it was unacceptable I always tip very well this is a first time I have never tipped. very disappointed never coming here again. read more

I've been here a handful of times and the experience is normally really great. The wings are amazing, not super pricey but quality wings. The nachos are amazing also. Good selection of beer. Music isn't bad. The pool tables are well kept. I feel this place is great if your looking not for a bar but an adult hangout. Service can be great to amazing. I come here once or twice a month to enjoy a night of playing pool and enjoy some chicken wings with my girlfriend. If your in the area and want something to do, I would recommend this place to do that. read more

I went about 6 times the service takes forever and you need to flag down waiters for service. Management is apathetic and rude when addressing a concern. They only get business because their one of the few family friendly pool halls in the northeast. Besides that they suck! read more

Stopped in for lunch midday. Place was pretty empty and the bartenders had all the personality of a wet dish rag. The food was mediocre and standard bar fare. And they had all these new 50" TVs and no HD! Pool tables were nice, but they are still new. The entrance is on the side of the building, so no one parks out front which makes it look like no one is there when you are driving by. read more

Don't go often but when I do it's as soon as they open. The reason is that I take my son. Went in the other day and as soon as I walked in the server asked me for my I.D. And a debt card. I asked her when they started doing that? She told me they always have. I told her no I come here now and then and not once have they done that. She continued to argue with me about it. First off why in hell am I going to let someone hold on to my debt card and I.d. Just have been looking at my account everyday. Next we were there for a bit and in an hour only came by once to check on us. Had to go ask the bartender for a menu. As my son went she brought us one. Told her we don't need it anymore we went to get one. Waited for a while longer before she came back so we could place our order. After our food came and my beer which I ordered a Cuban beer. It was nasty I will never order that again maybe it was just me. Well after about another hour she can back and we ordered more drinks. About a half hour went by and nothing. My son had to go order them from the bartender. It was just a sprite and Diet Coke. Really? After we were done I went to go get my tab and told the guy which table he gave me my total and was just looking at me to pay. I told him I would pay you but that lady has my I.d and debt card. He looked at me strange. And called her over. Which makes me think are they supposed to do that? Will be going again and see what happens this time. I just hope that girl is not there. Not sure why Pockets on Dyer doesn't get better reviews. I guess its not for everyone but we really enjoyed it here. Place was clean, service was great, pool tables were awesome, food was hot and fresh. Not sure what else could have improved our experience. Recommend you download the "touchtunes" app so you can play music on the Jukebox without needing cash and having to wait by the jukebox until you pick all your songs. read more

In any other bar as soon as you walk in you are greeted and served, but here you walk in and you gotta find a bar tender and then they take like 10 minutes to take your order plus an additional 20 minutes for them to take you your order. read more

Came to pockets for the McGregor VS cowboy fight. We had a waitress who hardly spoke English do a horrible job at taking our orders and messed up both food orders. We ordered nachos with ground beef and a crispy chicken sandwich only to be brought out nachos with chicken and ground beef and a piece of fried chicken. Totally not what we had ordered. Following this, our waitress failed to come to our table even one time to ask us if we needed anything... we had no more waters and were ordering our drinks from the bar at this point. I told the manager that we needed a new waitress and the circumstances. He proceeded to provide us with a waitress who ended up being good friends with our previous. Go figure. We also paid a $5 per person to get in for the fight. Horrible, horrible, horrible service. Wish I could tell you the name of the worst waitress, but I can't remember. Just don't go! read more

I love this place. It has a nice atmosphere and the wings are great. Pizza was also great when ordered with extra sauce. Had a tower of beer there last week and had a nice time. The waitress was very nice and kept coming back every 5 minutes to check up on us. The only problem I had was that they didn't have enough mugs if someone else ordered a beer tower at the same time. Good place to hang out, but service needs work. I had asked for a drink twice and only got once and was charged for 3. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but it got cleared up with the manager. Tables are too close together but people next door to you don't mind waiting their turn or us waiting and so on. I think they should make it bigger or get rid of some tables to fix that. read more

I went at 11:00 p.m. and got a order of small beef nachos to go last night; when I got home the ground beef was old and burnt and the beans were scorched and there was very little cheese...I am so disapointed, I expected more for 9.00. I WILL NEVER GIVE THIS PLACE MY BUSINESS AGAIN! read more

This place was nice the first time we went, they are kid friendly so it was easy for our newest member of our family to join... that being said Friday 9/15 was the worst experience we had there, we constantly had to walk up to the bar to order because our servers were nowhere to be found and the night time manger was the upmost rudest woman my husband had to encounter... one they had their security shoo us out like animals because of our child (kids aren't allowed after 9) and made us pay for a full beer we didn't get to even touch let along look at because it was time for us to go... they literally told us 4 minutes before 9 that we had to go after the server poured us a beer... my husband went to the bar to speak to this woman who one refused to remotely have eye contact with him and kept waving her hand to signal for him to go away... never once gave him her name yet demanded his (WHICH HE DID TELL HER) and she then called security to make him leave and still made us pay... this is the most unprofessional place ever... my husband is going to deploy soon and thought gathering our friends to come down here and have fun along with our kids was a good idea but never again will we come here not recommended this place to anyone.... thank you for the most terrible night ever read more

Went in for an hour on a sat night and my debit card being held for my tab was actually taken to Kmart next door and used, then returned minutes before I was about to pay for my tab! I was a regular here for awhile. The sticks and tables aren't bad and I even like the waiters and waitresses. What kills this place is the management. We ordered food and it was delivered cold.
