I recently had a service from Pointe and so far so good. The ant traps seem to be working and we were happy with our technician. He answered all of our questions and even made some calls to make sure we had answers. The reason I am knocking stars off is that they don't seem to be customer centric in their policies. Ask a lot of questions about commitments and auto pay. The service is good enough but just make sure you understand what you are committing to! read more

The pest control technicians do a fantastic job! However, the accounting department is the worst ever. They refunded my payment, then left a past due notice on my door, saying they were going to turn me over to a collection agency. I called, no return call. I called again, "we'll have someone call you back". No call. I sent another check and the bank shows they cashed it, then I get a letter from a collection agency today! I'm contacting my attorney as I write this as I hold my credit in highest regard. Just the worst! There are LOTS of other pest control people that serve our area. read more

I'm repeating what others have said. I was badgered into a contract. Constants calls multiple times a day- and when I'm working I just need to be left alone. I finally answered and asked CLEARLY. Does this include a contract that I'm trapped in services? No. Does this mean I can cancel whenever without a fee? Yes. Tried to cancel and can't get ahold of anyone. Finally got a voicemail saying they can't cancel- "it's not that easy" in their words". They mentioned it being short notice... had they replied to emails or calls it wouldn't have been. Contract says I can cancel if I'm unhappy so we'll see how this goes. Doesn't appear they care about anything other than trapping in business. Plus, at our one and only spray, they sprayed the exterior for inside spiders, in the rain. It took all of 5 minutes. I also asked the barn be sprayed and it wasn't. I'm addition they "swept" for webs but tons were still present. Checked for mice holes yet I found three and am continuously catching mice... I won't be paying for the cancellation fee for many reasons. One being my contract says I don't have to. read more

I had a new technician today and I was pleased to see that Mikaela was very thorough inside and outside and very pleasant as well. Asked me if I needed anything else before leaving and made sure everything was satisfactory. Didn't seem to mind my little dogs, but I kept them inside when she was outside and outside when she was doing inside. I was very happy about her professionalism and insight, integrity to make sure she didn't leave anything out. Wiping cobwebs on our vaulted ceiling and inside our sun windows in the ceiling. Just had my quarterly service done by Chris T. He's always so friendly and answers any questions I have. I live in an area where there are lots of trees. Since starting this service over a year ago I rarely if ever see spiders in my house or webs on my outside lights, no ant issues. He dropped off some ant traps last visit and those work great! Also gave me some spider traps but my dog got them but haven't needed them! I highly recommend Pointe! Their customer service is top notch! read more

The sales guy was so pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer. I told him my concern was the yard and the trees. He never once said they can't treat that. They only treat the perimeter of the house. So when they came out to treat it, I noticed they didn't spray the trees. So I ask and he says he can't treat that area. Now I have to pay $99 for that one time after they mislead me. They won't refund my money. I don't think I should pay for a service that was incomplete and very misleading. They also charge $95 cancellation fee and you must be in a year contract. They will only treat selected pests and not the usual ones to try to prevent it. They also charge extra for certain pests including carpenter ants.. I feel ripped off. This company is a scam. The tech was fine. The problem I have with the company was failure to show up for the 2nd flea treatment 2 weeks after the first treatment. When I expected them to show up for the 2nd treatment about 5 weeks after the first, they failed to give a window on when they would arrive. When the tech showed up, he stated he was only there to do routine work and not do the 2nd flea treatment. After calling the main office again, they told me the dates were opposite of the work being done. When I asked what time they'd be coming out for the flea treatment, they gave a window of 1pm-3pm; treatment takes 4 hours, and the tech told me it was something they normally only do in the morning to avoid issues. This is for a residential home and Pointe Pest Control failed to complete their paid 2 week follow up. Failed to do the work meant for today that was confirmed through email. Failed to inform when they would be arriving today. And failed to give an appropriate time to do the work needed for a residential home; all after being paid. My residents are upset, my boss is not pleased, and I am not pleased. They offered no solutions or compensation for failure to meet simple goals they set up. Pointe Pest Control needs to step up their game. read more

First off, we have MULTIPLE no solicitation signs around the yard and door. Your employee ignored all of that and continued to ring the doorbell multiple times to get us to answer the door. Second of all, train your employees better on not lying about how "our neighbors" are having work done the next day. The next day came and days came and none of your people were out here doing pest control. We signed on for a month by month payment which was explained to me and I asked several times to clarify to be sure. We ended up finding out we were contracted. When we decided to cancel we were told we had to pay a $95 early term fee so we stuck it out till our contract ended. I paid the bill and said to cancel our service. Today I received a call to update my card to pay the outstanding balance of $105 for our May service. When I had explained I cancelled my service last month after paying off the last remaining bill, I have now accrued a new bill for continuation of service or go to collection. Horrible customer service! It's almost impossible to get a return call once you are set up for regular maintenance. They came out a few weeks ago to do maintenance. We told them we could hear a critter under our house. They decided they didn't need to go under the house or in the house and only put bait stations around the house. We ended up setting our own traps in the house and caught 6 mice. The noise under the house has continued. We ended up calling someone else to come take care of the problem. read more

Juan is by far the best technician Pointe has. Every time he comes out he is super friendly, exceptionally thorough, and I am absolutely shocked how well he remembers my properly, where the ants are, and all these little details that even I forgot. He and I were talking today and he told me that he has a very good memory and remembers almost 450 properties that he does pest control for. He took plenty of time treating my home and even managed to located what I thought was an impossible ant colony to pinpoint. I've had other Pointe techs come out and treat my property, but Juan is by far my favorite. This guy really, really goes out of his way to do an exceptional job, and truly knows what he's doing. We had never used a pest control service under a contract relationship. We decided to give Pointe Pest Control a shot as a contractual service provider. They have been extremely helpful. The technician is always open to lending suggestions and offers any assistance we may need. Upon an ant invasion inside our home, they were "on it" with us until the remedy was found. Getting sung by wasps is not something that anyone would like. I asked you for a quote because I didn't know how to get rid of wasps that stung me for getting rid of my plants in my front yard. I was desperate but being stung and while I was waiting for the quote, I decided to go onto YouTube and see how it's done to get rid of those pesky wasps! YouTube was awesome and so was the quick response. I'm sorry that I didn't use you but like I said, I was desperate and having kids, I didn't want them being stung by my negligence in disturbing the wasps nest. I'm not a fan of the door to door sales but I listened. I already had a pest service and wanted to work with a local business so I signed up. Social Distancing made it difficult to read everything I was agreeing to so I went with it. I looked over everything in the morning and I was not told that they charge a fee to come out and 30 days later a follow up visit that starts the quarterly fee. I was not told that if you cancel there is a $95 early termination fee. (You have 3 days from signup to avoid that). This is old school tactics. Trapping you in a contract, door to door sales, and hidden or undisclosed fees. Not impressed. I'm staying with my original company and cancelled this. I used Pointe to take care of a mole in my yard a while back. I called and set up an inspection appointment. When I called the day of the appointment to find out if they had a better idea of when they would arrive within the promised window, I was told I'd get a call back from the inspector, but I never did. The inspector, when he arrived, explained that he never got the message to call me. When the exterminator came, he definitely got the problematic mole. Last week I called as I have another mole. I was told I'd get a call back to schedule, but I did not. It was the weekend, so I waited until Monday and when I did not receive a call, I called back. They told me that due to some internal processing error they sent my request for service to the wrong person. They promised me someone would get back to me that day about scheduling another extermination. Once again I did not receive a call on Monday or Tuesday - bad business. I really liked the guy who came for the estimate and the exterminator but the company's in house support falls flat. Good luck getting an appointment if you call Pointe. read more

Pointe Pest control came out in January to spray the outside of my home and charged me $110.00. I asked WHY would you spray in January and they tell me its a pre-spring treatment. Pre-spring to me means March. When I questioned it,,, their response was Pay or we will send you to collections. They sent me to collections. read more

Pushy aggressive sales person came to my door. The guy had a story that my neighbors were using their services and even explained the specific pest issues they were experiencing. I don't think it's legal to solicit door to door this way. I think it's horrible to lie about other people using their services as a manipulative tactic. The guy was aggressive asked many personal questions and wouldn't leave. I wouldn't trust a company based on these tactics alone. read more

Pretty disappointed: when I called, I went back through my prospective home buyer circumstances (as I had originally put out a request and the owner was the first to respond) only to be told that 1) The owner was out of the office, 2) They don't yet serve Vancouver, WA (also originally described) but for one tech, 3) said tech would be in touch to go over options - and then never called. In fact, the girl at the front seemed as if she has no clue about my original conversation here on Yelp, which I could understand. Wouldn't it be prudent to forward the correspondence to her so she knows what to expect when I call?! I'll unfortunately be taking my business elsewhere. Edit: The owner and I have had several chat messages and he was extremely professional and apologetic. I very much respect and appreciate his approach to the matter. I find it so unfortunate that a company will go to the effort of establishing a Yelp account, set up automatic proposal messaging with a competitive response time, send a text out with the name of a technician who will contact me and when I speak to that technician (Jeremy) and set up a two hour onsite appointment window for two days later, he simply never shows up OR calls to inform me my time off work waiting at home was completely in vain. Wow. I (fortunately) had set up a second appointment with Pioneer Pest for the following day and they not only confirmed several times but showed up within the window and performed a stellar inspection and service (see their 75+ positive reviews). They secured $600 of my money simply for showing up. Now, back to Pointe's multiple service failures a couple of questions from a disgruntled customer: 1) why bother attempting to compete in a highly transparent space such as Yelp if you can't even confirm and show up for an appointment? 2) is it reasonable to expect a potential client whose day has been wasted to write an extensive review of this failure (hence the low ratings)? 3) if you continue to downgrade the clients who seek out your services from the Yelp platform, which is a community of reviewers assisting others in researching companies in their area, would it not be safe to assume that your long journey back to establishing yourself as a reputable company could have been easily avoided with simply better communication (a phone call)? I hope this review serves as a wake-up call to this company (and Jeremy specifically) to get your act together. There are too many companies out there doing it right to entertain this type of unprofessionalism. Good luck! read more

I am most annoyed with your company.  I called in on September 14 to request an appointment for ant treatment.  I was told that someone would get back to me shortly.  On 9/17 I called back and was transferred to Chris Acton who apologized but told me that he saw my message but totally forgot about me.  I told him I needed someone to come out as I had an ant problem.  He proceeded to try and talk me into a yearly contract.  I explained to him that I am a widow living on a fixed income and could not afford a commitment to a yearly fixed amount.  After several attempts of explaining this to him he finally told me that he could have someone out on Friday 9/18 between 3p and 5p - of which I agreed too.  At 5:05p I once again called the office and explained that no one had come out as promised.  The person I spoke to said that she would forward my issue to the technician on call and have him give me a call.  As of right now 9/18 at 7:30pm no one has called me.  I am a repeat customer!  Is this how you treat your customers?  I want to add that after I spoke to Chris yesterday one of your technicians was at my neighbors house to doors down - I think that person could have quickly taken care of my issue as the ants are out front.  I've also seen your trucks all of South Salem today.  Yet once again, I have been "forgotten" no calls, no emails, no contact whatsoever.  I am done with your company and will hire someone else to take care of the ant issue. read more

The guy who came and sold us this service was excellent. Very personable and explained the service well. He scheduled us for that night with "one of their best" technicians, which we agreed to. Then they cancelled and scheduled us for the next day (with a different tech). She was very nice but didn't too that great a job on clearing the cobwebs around the house. Horrible experiences with the company. Most recently a tenant of mine had contacted them for service on a property i had done a previous service on. The tenant paid for the service and Pointe did some spraying. Pointe then charged my credit card again from which the info they had stored the info from my previous service. So it was a double billing already. I had not authorized the service or charges in any way. When i called to dispute the charges I had to go through a ten minute autoresponse puzzle just to request a call back. When they did call back they told me that my tenant had provided the charge card info that they had ran . Outright lie! I then contacted the tenant who said it was her request and she had already paid. Overnight Pointe then refunded the charges and left a voicemail admitting to the storing of my CC info. I then attempted to contact Pointe again but was left on hold for 20 minutes before being routed to the call service who cant do anything for you. BS read more
