He cut the nerve in my hand leading to excruciating pain, a second graft surgery to repair the nerve and $5,000 plus an additional expenses. I did not trust him to do the second surgery. Everyday I live with numbness and loss of strength in my right hand. He refuses to help me pay for my expenses , will not acknowledge his surgical error but is boastful about performing 300-plus carpal tunnel surgeries every year. Don't go to this doctor. Get a second opinion. Opt for closed carpal tunnel surgery instead of what he performs. Not a day goes by that I don't regret going to him for surgery

In general, the physicians nor nurses…read morewere NEVER concerned with returning calls even after numerous (6-8 times) I left messages with the receptionist. There was a time I needed a prescription refilled and had some very concerning questions regarding it that could have been detrimental to my health/mental health. After about 5 calls and leaving messages, I simply just gave up. The 2nd issue was more recent. I left 3 messages w/the receptionist and the last attempt at 4th call, I told her that I really needed a return call from the nurse or doctor or I will go to another provider. The receptionist told me: "You're not going to talk to me that way"...and she hung up on me. After that, the nurse finally calls me few hours later (most likely to cover her a$$ that they "called me back" and at that point, I was no longer willing to work with that group. This is a very "low class" practice and would never recommend to anyone.

I may never have an MD as my PCP again. But the Pediatrician, doctor Mapes, is another matter. I'm not sure she even realizes that her patients don't cease to exist when they leave her office. She doesn't even glance at the file and pretend to know our names. On our last visit the referred to my son as a 'teenager'. He is nine. And he was standing right in front of her. I tried to talk to her about getting my son back on an inhaler for his asthma, which he was diagnosed with at two years old. However, I stupidly mentioned that one doctor he saw one time wasn't sure if he had asthma or if his symptoms were caused by his allergies. I did also tell her that he has had a chronic cough for over five years with bouts of exactly the same kind of bronchial-spastic coughing that lead Linda to diagnose my asthma earlier this year. Now she says she cannot treat him for, diagnose him with, or even test him for asthma unless she witnesses his cough being chronic, this though he has had it every time she has seen him. Her logic as far as I understand it is that it is not chronic unless he has it when he is well and he is not well because he still has a cough. I told her that he has wheezing and shortness of breath with mild physical exertion, and she told me flat out that that doesn't mean anything because my son and I are both fat. We are fat, but not too fat to walk a block without wheezing and shortness of breath. But clearly all we were to her was a couple of stupid fat people with no other characteristics that matter. Throughout the entire conversation she kept 'accidentally' replacing the word 'asthma' with 'diabetes', which as far as I know, does nothing to explain a chronic cough. Finally she said that she will only try to get him evaluated for asthma if we do extensive testing for every other 'more likely' thing it could be first and starts telling my now terrified and humiliated child how much blood they are going to draw and how many times he will have to get stuck with a needle if I keep pushing this. Needless to say, we are looking for a new pediatrician.

Every single person I encountered deserves an award for excellence in customer care. I was pampered from the minute I walked into the ward and that care continued until I was discharged. Nurses Teddi, Meagan, Ms. Kathy provided top notch care. Everyone, the nurses and their techs, Casey, Amber and Cody were always happy to fulfill any request I had at any time of the day or night. Check out was super easy and fast. I'm a Medicare patient, I felt like I received private PPO insurance. The cost might seem expensive to some but, the care can be beat. While I hope to never return, if I should that's where I would hope to be placed.

I was charged $3000 for the ER doctors because they are contracted and not employees of the hospital, therefore not covered by my insurance. I attempted twice to talk to the Baptist Health Business office and the woman was extremely rude. Needless to say I will NEVER use Baptist Health again!
