Everything looked fresh, new, and so clean. Friendly teacher and helpers led the children all week teaching them Spanish but making it fun to learn with crafts and snacks. I hear there's going to be a new playground soon. So great to know that another generation of students are getting the same great quality of Christian education that I did.

Northside Christian School has been an amazing blessing in our life. All four of our children…read moreattend and though not a single student teacher or administrator is perfect, I've consistently observed Christ like love expressed towards each other. They seek to love, learn and live Christ. The new building is a huge blessing and the parents contribute to one another. The school is small(about 175 students) but the impact is great. If you are looking for a school that is focused on the glory of God and excellence for that purpose, you should schedule a visit.

The teachers always leave detailed plans for the day, and I never feel awkward asking a fellow teacher, or student, if further clarification is needed. This district still offers a good selection of elective classes, especially at the high school level. I'm an avid proponent for electives - gives the kids a chance to decompress, and use their creative mind. And, besides, driving up here is a breeze - I'm going against rush hour traffic!

By their positive and supportive actions with their students, teachers demonstrated a loving, caring, and nurturing model for individual and groups of students. As an educator, I witnessed teachers who gave of themselves to help build the character and moral fiber of their students. Students responded to the model set for them in that they we're recognized and awarded for "Good Citizenship" (how supportive kind, and encouraging they were to each other on a day-to-day basis). Parental involvement in children's education is encouraged by reading with their child at least 20 mins. a night and providing opportunities for children to continue reading on their own. A child's education in school is stressed as very important to success. Therefore, even if a child only attends school half a day because of a doctor's appointment Etc., it is important that they be in school the other half of that day. I was impressed by the rich learning environment and the positive responsiveness of the children I observed. In keeping with the importance of reading, I was encouraged that they were having a Book Fair while we were there which then carried over into the next day. Needless to say, I added to the support of the school and the children in our home by participating greatly in the Book Fair. I was told that they will provide another Book Fair next February. The school is in need of people who would be willing to volunteer their time and services to help in the Book Fair or just to assist teachers in the classroom.

Review is only for the playground…read more It was a sunny, halfway warm December day, and Baby K wanted to go to a playground. This was handy, and it was a Sunday, so we stopped in. Medium-sized playset with loads of interesting slides, climbing stuff, etc. Swings and monkey bars nearby. Looked to be some more swings around the corner. Maybe another playset, who knows, but it was too cold to go find out. She loved this one, and there's convenient parking and plenty of open space nearby for games, dogwalking, whatever.

Then one with multiple playsets and equipment, some old, some new, beside the main school. Tree for shade. A couple of low benches for tired parents. Swings, slides, climbing stuff. Baby K loved it.
