It has been an exciting, enriching and rewarding experience for all three. Even though we live in a community with a nationally ranked public school system, we chose Wellington because of the small class size and personal attention that a school of Wellington's size can deliver. We have not been disappointed. Our children thrive academically. They also have the opportunity to be in the band, play three different sports (lax, basketball and soccer) throughout the year without worries of being cut from the team (Wellington has a "no cuts" policy) and they can be in theater productions. Wellington encourages diversity in student interests and demonstrates its commitment to diversity in its teachers and in the students it accepts. Wellington parents are friendly, involved and welcome at Wellington. While some schools emphasize "rigor," Wellington seeks "engagement." Wellington students are engaged, active learners who generally are inspired to learn more, do more. It's an amazing place.

As a recent graduate of this school, the memories are still fresh in my mind. Tree of Life is a…read moreschool unlike any other. While many may have mixed opinions on Christian schools for their belief systems and teachers, I can confidently say that the teachers here are here to guide you and help you in learning, both academically and spiritually. They care and want to show God's love to all who enter. While many schools require little effort in assignments, Tree of Life ensures preparedness for each grade up and beyond high school. It is a hard curriculum, but all teachers are committed to see each and every student succeed. There are tutors and plenty of opportunities for extra credit! Work hard, and you will see great results. Tree consistently scores higher than the national average on AP tests and other examinations. The extracurricular activities are also great, especially the theater department. I have performed in several shows and enjoyed them immensely. All thanks to a great director and good teamwork! The sports are also full of teamwork and some very good games. I have played little, so I can't say much, but Tree does do well overall. I have seen in some reviews that some people believe Tree of Life encourages "hate" and punishes students for different beliefs, asking questions, and is racist?? This is NOT what this school is like. There is no hate here, no racism; only diversity, support, love, and grace. Regardless of the situation, they are always open to talk. There are lots of opportunities to freely ask questions and engage in good, wholesome spiritual debate. What truly makes TOLCS worth five stars isn't their building or their technology, but rather how they allow God to thrive through each and every student. The community they have formed is truly a strong foundation and is supportive and loving, grace-filled. If you are looking to place your child in a private, Christian education, definitely give Tree of Life Christian Schools a try.

I was locked in a storage closet for asking relevant questions about biblical teachings. I was chastised for my body. Made to explain what the N-word meant. Often confused with another Black student which became a joke for the teacher. And the list goes on.

This year was my first year at Metro and will also be my last. I will be a sophomore next fall, but…read moremy freshman year here at Metro was like hell. For background, Metro is a STEM school that also pushes a very strict mastery agenda. You need to have a 90+ on all assignments to be considered passed with them. If not, you must remediate asap. My experience, as I said, was hell. One of the things I noticed, is that they do absolutely nothing about bullies and people saying slurs. I had this one kid on my class, constantly saying the n word and the f slur. Nobody did anything, they just scolded him and loved on. The school does nothing but maybe give them a suspension, even if it's a repeated instance. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, this is not definitely the school for me, and might not be the school for your child either if they suffer from chronic anxiety/depression aswell. Deadlines are deadlines at Metro, even with my 504, I would only get an extra day to turn assignments in. I understand they can't give me a week, but my teachers wouldn't even care for my 504. I was supposed to get guided notes, only got 1 packet out of the two teachers I was supposed to get them from in my second semester. If you cannot keep up with getting all A's and turning work in on time, I would NOT recommend Metro. I would also say's Metro worsened my anxiety. I had a lot of things going on outside of school aswell, and everything between that and the school got so bad I had to get on antidepressants antidepressant. I had friends who suffered from chronic illnesses, and they would have piles of work to do when they got back. If your child is apart of the LGBTQIA community, they WILL get bullied. I had a trans friend and he would constantly get called by his deadname and the same guys would constantly ignore his pronouns. There is also another trans student and she constantly got made fun of and talked about behind her back. I practically had no free time outside of school, it was all studying and homework. Sometimes on weekends I'd also have homework. Over the summer, before your child joins high school, they have to do a research project. Made absolutely no sense to me. The bathrooms, disgusting. I've heard stories form the boys bathroom, pee all over the walls. The girls bathroom, bloody tampons, pads, shit in the toilets. It may be the #1 STEM school, but that does not mean it is good. Please do further readership and read more reviews. I would only send my child here if I truly knew they could keep up. If I could, I would definitely give it a 0 star rating.

I was a student for a year and my friend group of four all still have trust issues. I still physicaly cringe hearing any sentence that starts with " my friend" because that was always the opening line other students would use as an excuse to harass us. If you want to see the really good reviews, check the " not recommended" section. I know it sounds bad, but trust a former student when I say most of them are written by my friends who all experienced the same thing. Just one last thing, I got yelled at for YAWNING TO LOUD.
