I was told any BMO branch can help inquire about wire transfers by calling the wire department. However, this branch refused to make the call, claiming they did not have the number. Other BMO branches have helped me by calling directly before, but this one refused. Even the branch manager only said they could send an email later in the afternoon after their meeting, ignoring my urgent request. Customer time and service should be a priority. It is unacceptable that BMO branches provide inconsistent service and refuse basic assistance. Very poor customer experience.

I was told that Bank of Montreal does not accept USD coins. The manager at this branch confirmed this. I was advised that I'd have to overpay the amount and had to buy US$1 for Cdn $1.40. I could not buy 5 cents US. The minimum is US$1. It is unacceptable that Bank of Montreal does not accept USD coins for payment of their USD Mastercard. In this situation, I will always have a credit on my USD account because they do not accept USD coins and will not give you change for the overpayment. Is this sneaky way the Bank of Montreal cheats its customers, by forcing you to always have a small credit on your USD credit card??? Because it's a small amount, they will probably write it off at the end of the year and keep the money. This can add up given that they have thousands of customers.
