Stable, sturdy and unobtrusive, it looks as though it has always been there! Fernando also restored the old rusty, peeling railing. It looks fantastic! Fernando is a skilled old-school craftsman. He is prompt, respectful, and true to his word. The new railing may look like a simple project, but we had previously tried using someone else who did not understand our requirements at all. Fernando listened carefully and was incredibly responsive to our needs. We cannot recommend Phoenix Iron Works highly enough. We'd give Fernando 10 stars if we could!!!

We brought it to Dave, the owner. He got underneath the car, and saw absolutely nothing. He offered to put it up on the lift for us to show us, and we took him up on it. He then proceed to go all around the frame, hitting it with a ball peen hammer, HARD. The only thing that came off was the PAINT, that had rusted on one of the pipes, and that rust flaked right off, with no damage whatsoever underneath! There was literally NO body rot under the car - no weak spots, no holes, NOTHING! We brought the car in for inspection 2 days later, with NO work done to it, and it passed with flying colors! We had great difficulty with customer service re: Boston Iron Group. FYI, it wasn't mentioned…read moreduring our initial estimate, but it's standard for them to complete painting touch up on site when they deliver your railing. I questioned the workers doing this as it was about to rain, but they assured me that it would be fine. We had a downpour within one hour of them painting and sure enough, the paint job suffered. I had to contact Aylton, the owner, repeatedly for 6 weeks before the painting was finally touched up. There were many weather days when painting was not an option, but the company didn't try to fulfill their promise of correcting things in a timely manner or without my constant reminding. I recommend looking elsewhere for your railing needs.

I called J&B & left a message on their answering machine & Fred Moore, the owner called back shortly afterwards. He didnt want to give me a price estimate until he saw a sketch & measurements of the 2 pieces I needed-- very logical. He told me to come before 130pm because he had to pick up his kids from school. Hesitantly, I went to J&B Metal Products in Saugus & they were terrific, accomodating & low pricing comparatively speaking. I got my pieces during that visit. I realized later that the pieces needed to be cut to fit the wall space better. I went back the next day & he cut them & made recessed screw holes without charging me , even after I offered to pay something. When I called the other places they nickeld & dimed me for everything: cutting, screw holes, buffing edges, etc, which added up to 2 times what I paid @ J&B... No nickel & diming @ J & B Metal Products. I trust & highly recommend J & B Metal Products, if you ever need sheet metal fabrication or anything like that, please look at them and give this 'mom & pop shop' the business.
