I've been taking classes here since 2023, taking a break in between, and I love it! I've been enjoying the teachers, esp. Ava, Jennifer, and Red! The community is great with the other students as well. They're super supportive, and encouraging. Class wise: - if you get an opportunity to take SLAP with Ava, absolutely do it! Don't walk, run!! She is soo sweet and each class is like an adventure where we get to try new things and build off of previous things we've learned in class as well! It's never boring, and her music is on point! Also, the chair work, floor work, and gloves are chef's kiss! It was a challenge for me to really lean into my feminine energy, and she made it possible for me to do that! I adore her soo much, and I appreciate how comfortable she's made me feel. - if you see any spin classes with Jennifer that are open, run to register as well! She is extremely supportive, and I've been raving about her class and teaching style since I got in with her. She also focuses on some great stretches and body warm ups at the beginning of class to ensure that you're good and ready. - if you don't know of Red yet, you will! Run to her classes as well! I've been in her Bae'B Stripper series, and whew this class almost gave me a run for my money, but I look forward to every Monday with her and the girls! She's an amazing teacher, and I appreciate the energy she brings! She's gone put you to work, but you're gonna feel amazing after/during, and for sure sleep well lmao! I recently took a chair/pole dance class called S.L.A.P. with instructor Ava, and I enjoyed every class! Ava is incredibly creative, fun, and energetic. I really appreciated how she switched up the dance moves and music each week; it kept things fresh and exciting, unlike some classes that stick to the same routine and song. Ava's knowledge and vibrant personality made each class feel unique. I've taken a few different classes here and all of the instructors are awesome and put safety first. I even had my birthday pole party here and it was a hit. All of my friends had a blast. I love this studio and all of the instructors! I am somehow always made to feel so comfortable even in the otherwise most uncomfortable situations. It is always a great time, great work out, and overall great community. Just turned 30 years Old and decided to try my hand at Pole Dancing. I found this place while googling for a pole class. I have now been to 4 classes in the past 3 weeks. My muscles were burning in my arms , my thigh muscles were killing me but in a good way the next day after a class. No idea that Pole or Twerk class was such a workout. Any person that I can truly learn from surprises me with their knowledge as there are always new things to learn, while sometimes personal knowledge in some areas such as "twerking" can become stagnant. As this was one year ago, I won't make any assumptions that I even remember having such a conversation with the owner. No men are allowed in the studio at all, so there is no worrying about guys gawking! I picked up pole dancing as a hobby because I get SO BORED going to the gym. Don't be put off by the outward appearance of this studio and the location. It is next to an auto repair shop and the only way you know you're at the right place is the Purple Neon light on the outside of the building. Once inside, you'll probably be greeted by Robin, the owner. She's super sweet and Very Knowledgeable about all things Pole (advice on shoes and where to get them on sale, etc.) and goes out of her way to help you learn the moves. I feel dirty for writing this review considering Yelp is full of perverts and I am their leader. When I lived in Boston, I had a pole in my walk in closet. At the time, there were no classes offered and I had to learn from a sad DVD or from my girlfriends. When I heard there was a dance studio that didn't look like the set of the next Lifetime movie, I was excited! Pole Waxers is a welcome, hidden gem that is much needed in the Suburbs just like the Brazilian waxing places that are on every corner. I appreciate the awkward stares from family vans as I walk in, stilettos in hand and walk out with a glow and an evil smile. Whether you're a pro or someone that has always been curious about pole dancing, Pole Waxers has everything to start you out. If you're just starting out, I recommend the Sunday yoga class or chair class. No need to be shy, it's dark in here and what little light there is, is a black light so you look tan even in the dead of Winter. The chair class starts you off slow and gets you comfortable in the dance moves. The directors help loosen you up if you're nervous which is why I prefer Heidi's classes. Don't be fooled, every class is an excellent work out. You'd be surprised how your legs will feel after a few chair flips, backwards cowgirl grinds and leg thrusts! If you think you're ready for the pole, and who isn't, the Thursday booty class or Vixen Stiletto classes are my favorite. The dance moves are easy enough to keep up with and the music is so loud and booming you forget where you are and that you've mastered your first corkscrew without breaking an ankle. Went here for a girlfriend's birthday and had a blast!! The instructors are very nice, professional, and "talented". The beginners class is around 2 hours and $20 per person, but if you join their email list, there's always specials. The classes are women only, so you don't have to feel uncomfortable w/ creepers lurking around. The lighting is also very dim, so you don't have to feel uncomfortable w/ your body or that you're not doing it "right". There was a good mixture of "serious" dancers, and goof balls like myself. Dress code was anywhere from booty shorts, to jeans, to tights. A fun night out w/ the girls and learned some new moves! =P read more

Great experience can't WAIT to go back! I actually attended two FREE classes, which were offerered to let you see what the real deal would be like. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and got MORE than my money's worth *pun intended*. After a horrible experience elsewhere, I was elated to find a very welcoming and professional atmosphere at this studio. My instructor was patient and took the time to not only explain each move/dance regardless of how long it took, but did it with such enthusiasm! Thank goodness, it didn't take me long, but the time and attention given to each student was noticed and appreciated. Let's be honest, nobody wants to go to attend anything, anywhere if they don't feel welcomed and don't have a good time. I had a GREAT time and got an AWESOME workout! Had a great time at this place. Hosted a surprise birthday party at the location. All guest left with from my house on a magical adventure that landed at what we now know as the Pink Room! No one quite knew what was going on but it was funny watching them become aware of their surroundings and seeing that ah-ha moment! Overall we had a blast...this is great place for bridal parties, girls night out, birthday surprises etc. The building itself is very deceiving...looks more like a auto mechanic shop rather than a dance studio. I first went during a drop in class a couple of years ago and had the best time ever!! instead of just learnin ghow to dance around a pole like most pole dance studios in Atlanta do, I learned several spins and moves and an entire routine.. Of course there are lot s of drop ins to choose from and most importantly the instructors are very, very, very , very helpful and patient.. A lot of the girls are very serious about pole and excited to learn more so there is no procrastinating with the pace of the class. After considering taking a class here years, I finally decided to grab a girlfriend and go. We walked in and instantly felt comfortable. The classes are for women only and budget friendly. The subtle pink glow and friendly staff welcomed us. We were settled in no time. The instructor is amazing. She took her time with each student to make sure each understood each move. The hour flew by, and I left feeling like a goddess. What a work out! Each time I've visited has been an empowering experience. The staff makes you feel like family. This is my FAVORITE place to go with the Girls , I try to go at least 2 times a month for the Girls Pole Dancing Nights Outs on Saturday's. The Studio is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Not what you would expect from standing at the road i do have to admit, but I think that's one of the things that makes your mouth drop once you walk into the door and enter the lobby. When I thought of attending a bachelorette party at Pole Waxer University located in Hot Atlanta, the first phrase that came to mind was "Let's Get Nasty." And boy did I get a chance to do just that. We were taught how to do a spin, a flirty floor routine, a sexy body roll and a nasty booty bounce. I never knew how hard poling was, but trust me when I say that my thigh and arm muscles are still hurting today...........two days later. What a work out! I never knew that strippers had to use so many muscles. I will defiantly keep that in mind the next time I see some good nasty pole work at the club or at home. Upon arriving, the instructor had poor customer services skills, which is shocking considering her line of work. However, I was able to over look it due to her really juice booty. I found myself getting lost in her booty bouncing. In fact as I looked around the room I realized I wasn't the only one that her booty had that effect on. There was a limited about of poles......6 to be exact! Therefore, the instructor has to break you into four groups. This defiantly cuts down on your one on one time with the pole.
