Our architect was more than willing to help us out in purchasing what we need. He suggested that we go to his "Suki" store and ended up here. For me, I wanted to go somewhere where I go buy everything at a very reasonable price. Plus, we were recommended to go here because our architect has a membership card! 5% off is still a good discount! The warehouse is fairly small compared to the ones in Pasig. But, the selection they have are the reliable brands that come with a good price tag. However, they didn't have some brands that I wanted to buy. A bit inconvenient but I plan to just go to the main branch for other items. The one thing I didn't like was that, when we needed help, it took quite awhile for any staff to help us. Only when they noticed that we were buying in bulk that they started to eagerly help out. When their staff did start helping us, they provided useful, informed, and practical advise on which product to buy. In the end, we bought 3 sets of toilets and sinks, 2 sets of showers, my kitchen sink and other fixtures! After adding it all up with the 5% discount, we were ready to pay. Then, the manager approached us and offered that we pay Cash on Delivery. Whut?! That is unheard of but, of course, we accepted! This shopping trip really got me excited for the next few weeks! :D

With that being said, I had the opportunity to visit this place just a few days ago. I had a dilemma because I had to buy dog food and a door knob because I was out of dog food and our doorknob broke. I always buy dog food at a supermarket in the Fort S&R because it's cheap there. MC Home Depot helped my buying a door knob very convenient because it was just beside S&R. Not only that, It's in the Fort. It's basically a one stop shop for home needs and it's inside the Metro. How convenient. Apart from that, they also have a lot of brands that you can choose from. I found my doorknob and I was on my way, after paying of course. For people who are bringing cars, not to worry because they have parking spaces. They really thought of everything. So there I was on my way home: dog food in the back and a doorknob on the passenger seat.

Since I started to move in to our new home, I needed multiple things from extension cords to trash bins. The staff helped me find exactly what I needed and were even kind enough to tell me to shop when they would have a weekend sale. I was even able to reserve the items and buy them during the weekend sale! Recently, I described a home issue to them without knowing "the vocabulary" and they knew just what I am talking about and what would be the best way to fix it. The cost of some items maybe slightly higher than items in Greenhills, Binondo, or a surplus shop. But, I am happy to pay and get the level of service they give!

What I love about True Value is that they are conveniently located in malls that I frequent, my favorite being Power Plant Mall, Rockwell. I don't have to make an extra stop just to buy one light bulb. Besides their location, I also love them because they have so much more than hardware/home supplies. They also have some appliances, cleaning tools, pet items and random home accessories like blinds, garden fixtures and even various plastic and glass containers. They also have a good selection of brands from local ones to rare American brands (particularly in the home cleaning department). I frequent True Value too much that my friends tease me that I spend more time there than I do at clothing or shoe stores... :) I actually think it's true!

Going inside the store is quite an overwhelming feeling though because there is literally so much stuff on display. Sometimes, I actually forget why I'm there in the first place and get side-tracked looking at something else I don't particularly need. It's best to go there with a goal in mind. If you're not entirely sure what it is you might really need, you can simply approach any of the sales attendants and they will point you to the right direction.

From hand tools like saw, screws, pliers and hammers to the big machinery such as welders, grinders and even generator sets, Han's has got it! They also have a bunch of machines that go beyond home construction. They have metal fabrication equipment, cleaning machines, light construction tools and even safety precautionary items like hard hats, plastic boots and gloves! What a way of staying true to their branding, right? It's super easy to find, too since it's just a little past Pioneer Center. It also has a designated parking lot so if in case you're bulk buying, there's a place for you to leave your car at. So if you're building a tool box for your new home, wanting to give your handy dad or tito some tools or if you wanna try your hand at carpentry, you should definitely give this place a visit sooner than later!
