I am a senior citizen, and my complaint was that I was BRUTALLY attacked physically 22 months ago on a C-Tran bus for no reason, other than 2 teenage thugs thought it would be fun to beat up an old man. I had to go to the with numerous head injuries. In 22 months, the police have done nothing about the case. They have had plenty of time to work on this case and get the video from C-Tran. If a senior citizen was their father or older brother, I am sure they would get on the case. Charges should be brought against these 2 kids! Now let's see if Yelp deletes this as well. P.S. During training, I experienced alarming symptoms, including tasting blood, and raised concerns about my health. I did not feel there was meaningful follow-up, individualized assessment, or clear coordination to ensure that my medical condition was being fully evaluated in light of the physical and academic demands placed upon me. Given my documented medical history, I found this deeply concerning. Police organizations appropriately hold recruits to high standards of performance, discipline, and accountability. Those same standards of care, communication, and attentiveness to serious medical concerns should apply internally as well. When someone's health, career, and reputation are all at stake simultaneously, there should be a clear and transparent process that prioritizes both readiness and well-being. I hope future recruits with documented medical histories receive thorough, proactive engagement when concerns are raised

I highly recommend their Citizen's Police Academy and CERT classes open to the public (with registration). The facility itself is very impressive with all-electronic-keyed doors throughout. It also houses YCOM the area's 911 dispatch service. The chief, officers and staff are always at lots of community events and the dedication of their volunteers rivals that of any non-profit in town.

I think the mayor was very slow to act in closing the parks, and out of the country in Asia during part of Occupy Portland as well. Even the city commissioners were calling for action when the mayor was s-l-o-w. Bureau Chief Mike Reese and hundreds of officers did an outstanding job these past five weeks handling the chaotic group of protesters downtown. I've missed the lack of uniformed patrols in our neighborhood, but understand that your hands have been tied by our lame-duck mayor and you are simply following orders. You do a fine job, you risk your lives for the community and sacrifice time with your families by working a ton of OT. Kudos to you!

They delay response because they don't believe it to be urgent enough but then delay even further to get more officers enroute for officer safety. So which one is it? Not urgent or urgent? Clearly urgent enough you need 3 police officers but not urgent enough to protect your own citizens. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Your department should be ashamed.
