Been going now about 3 years. Denise does mine. She is the owner and cares very much for salon and making the client satisfied. You only have to tell her once what shape you want. Amazes me how I mention some life event done or gonna do - and next visit she remembered and I forgot I even mentioned. I actually asked for business cards cause I get compliments ALL the time. At driveups when I reach for the order and checkouts as my fingers punching the buttons on credit card machines, etc. I like my nails long and ALWAYS get the chrome added. I walked about 1.2 miles to get there and when I walked in, I was told it was an hour wait. It was not and hour wait, it was more like an hour and 45 minutes. While waiting, no way on Gods green earth would I EVER darken Chi Nails in Houston. The place was in shambles!! I observed after a pedicure, all the tech did was take a shot of Dawn and washed out the pedicure bowl. WHAT ABOUT SOME LYSOLE?? No utensils was sterilized. Minimal polish colors offered. When it was my turn, I promise on everything I love, the owner Ms. Chi took a towel (dirty of course) outside and shook it out. She came back in took a damp towel from a dirty pedi chair and wiped off the station I was sat at. She then took that towel she shoot outside and place it in front of me. I was at her mercy because my split nail was sore and cause me great pain. The utensils she used came from a nasty station next to us, they was just sitting there out in the open. Ms. Chi took no mercy on the way she did my nails, she was so rough. When she pushed my cuticles back, omg I wanted to slap the mess outta her. When she was grinding my , she nipped me at least 5x's. I had to remind myself what City I was in and I shut my mouth and endured the pain inflicted upon me. When she replaced my broken nail, she said I must not be from Del Rio. As she was grinding my sore nail, she showed no mercy. When it came time to shaping the nail, again she said I must not be from Del Rio because they don't do my shape. All I did throughout the process was smile and be polite again I had no choice. I asked her to shape the a little better, that offended her. When it came time to wash my hands, I went into the restroom. I put toilet paper on the toilet because the restroom was filthy. As I walked back to the station, lawdy how can a women keep such a filthy shop. Call me boogie if y'all want, I call it having standards. I'm gonna keep n eye on the split nail for fungus and when I get back to Houston replace all of them! This is another reason why I love Houston because we offer opinions when it come to Nail Salons.
