I decided to go and explore downtown and I returned and noticed there was no ability to adjust the room temperature as it was a little chilly in the room and I had to text to ask in the late night hour to have the heat turned up...so I received a reply text that I can adjust the heat for you but you cant have any guests, surprisingly I asked why not, its a visitor not a overnight guest and was told there's a extra charge I had to pay for a guest and we need the guests full name and information. Excuse me its not a overnight guest, it's a visitor, and how do you know i have a visitor with me, well we watch you on the security camera and we see someone with you! Why are you watching me enter and exit the door and there's a male downstairs walking around everytime I went out and came in so I wasn't afforded the opportunity to be comfortable after that to know that you're spying on my every move and im no longer comfortable or feel safe at this room. It was supposed to be a great experience but it turned into a nightmare!!! I hate that this popped up on my availability for booking, I was immediately taken back by the actions stated to me and it clearly states for the rental I room 2 guests on the reservation! Stay far away from Lakeland Getaways B&B. Don't let the looks fool you. Bathroom is very small. No temp control. No PRIVACY. Very THIN walls you hear everything and they will hear you, hey the may be listening on the security cameras as well or have hidden cameras! Very bad treatment as a Disabled Veteran. Very friendly neighbors. Pool and hot tub, pool table, horseshoe's, pickleball court, shuffleboard court, playground for kids, beautiful lake (no swimming in lake) alligators in lake, frogs, birds, squirrels, and small lizards. Roam around free ( except gator never saw it) wildlife never bothered us. It was fun to watch them though. The staff was very friendly and very helpful ( we suprised my son who lives there) online/on phone staff was amazing! Highly recommend this resort! You definitely get more than what you pay for! $488 for a week. You cant get one hotel room for that price, and we got a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom tiny home!

Amenities…read morelike a gym, game room, community room, swimming pool (wished it was heated), dog park and, like expected & typical in Florida, RV slips close together with some long term residents and some short term. We rented a Tiny House here, during the 2022 Christmas holiday. Reception staff was nice, not super knowledgeable about resorts events though. Resort Housekeeping serviced our rental (but the rental likely is owned by someone out of town). When we needed a space heater, because temperatures went below freezing, an ozone air purifier was brought (size of space heater, but NOT the same thing). The front sleeper sofa mattress was removed before we arrived, which made sitting there nearly impossible. May or may not be connected, but a couple days into our stay all three of us began to itch. The pieces didn't all fit together, at first, but there were Bed Bugs and our extremities showed the evidence - We had numerous bites! Days after, back at our home, an urgent care visit was necessary, due to an allergic reaction. The medications, laundering , loss of (possibly) infested items like luggage, and the daily attention to our home to eliminate any hiding 'hitch hikers' significantly outweighs the cost of our trip itself. Still a constant battle for weeks to come. So my greatest concern with the RV Park is their inability to identify a bed bug problem and prevent the critters from spreading. The homes nearby are at risk of an infestation, as well as the community areas, if this problem isn't handled with aggressive diligence.

Maintenance staff is friendly and do a good job responding to service request in a timely manner. Can't beat the location. Everything you could ask for is nearby. The property itself is inviting with beautiful manicured and maintained landscaping. Kid and pet friendly!! Good amenities. Beautiful clean pool. Basketball court, work out room, playground and BBQ grill, laundry facility. Apartment are good size with washer/ dryer or hookups. Nighttime security patrolling throughout the night and have even seen local law enforcement cruise through on a regular basis for added security. Quiet and safe environment. Only complaint is that some residents are inconsiderate and do not pick up after their dog. Please scoop the poop guys. This is your home!! Help to keep it clean. 5 Stars!!
