With all the construction going on since the property was not built and correctly weatherized causing every building to undergo major construction hit a nerve. Building meetings were scheduled with promises and assurances of things like cleaning up the area every day, safety and security and communication on when repairs would take place per unit including outside and inside as they would need access. Besides the noise and obvious construction annoyances that can't be controlled like scaffolding, windows blacked out, dumpster everywhere, etc I had hoped management would do what they could with what they can control. I spoke with Erica Wyndham (new manager) today as I have had several complaints over the last few weeks about safety, construction debris and communication with the developer, all which was adamantly explained that they would work with us to resolve. I was about 20 seconds into explaining my situation and was cut off with excuses even though she hasn't even heard most of the complaint. I asked if we could speak with the owner, as I remember in the meeting he was a reasonable and calm man who actively listened and was told no, then was told she had already spoken to him about this. Obviously not correct. When I mentioned communication she said they were busy communicating about the storm that came through...I didn't receive any of those either. Where I had made the decision to stay and endure the construction and continue renewing my lease; that has all changed in the less than 1 minute phone call with this manager.

It had a sidewalk that goes around the entire property so it's nice for a morning jog before the kids wake up. The pool is fun and my kids enjoyed staying here. The breakfast was good and all the staff is very accommodating. Overall, the room was clean, however our room in particular had a really bad odor and when I called, maintenance arrived and said they didn't notice anything wrong. Also housekeeping came and cleaned the area that I said I thought the smell was coming from. No other investigation was conducted and the problem seemed to be downplayed by staff. They were not able to move our room because all the rooms were booked up. I ended up going to Publix to buy my own cleaning supplies and air fresheners, but nothing seemed to help. I was disappointed because I really wanted this trip to be relaxing and not always in the go, but we really didn't want to hang out in our room due to the smell. I'm looking forward to going home. :/

Definitely depends on the price about whether it is worth staying here…read more If you can get the legoland hotel that is next to legoland for $100-$200 a night more, it is worth staying at the other legoland hotel. If this place is that much cheaper, I would opt to stay here. That is only if 1. it doesn't look like it will be raining the entire weekend and 2. if you have a car. If you don't have a car, even though the walk is .5 miles it seems farther and it's along a busyish street. They do have a shuttle, which we didn't take since we had a car. The bungalow style is definitely cute if the weather is good. Otherwise, you're running through a rather large area to get to your room. Each bungalow is connected to one other and when we were there there was no one in the one next to us, which was great. The rooms are exactly the same as in the main legoland hotel other than the fact that there's no second tv in the kids bunk area. I love the legoland rooms in general, where the kids have their on little alcove with a bunk bed and a trundle pull out so they can go to sleep early while the adults stay up. The pool is less busy than the main legoland hotel one and there's a sand area and playground. That is pretty cool. It still has all the floating legos (but no slide). It's right next to the restaurant so you can order a drink at the window and bring it out to the pool. You can also order food to eat at the pool. There's little playgrounds all over this place, which was fun for the kids. There's no lobby so you basically check in at the front gate from your car. Overall, when there's a good deal, I'll stay here, otherwise I'll opt for the other hotel.

I wanted to give another update since my lease will be up next month…read more One of the false cabinets directly under the kitchen sink has magically fallen directly on my foot and broke out of no where, um okay? I placed a work order again for my refrigerator because it has constantly broken on me multiple times causing my food to spoil on more than 4 occasions... HOWEVER, the very next day maintenance actually came and fixed every problem in the apartment! I'm honestly shocked and very pleased with this. Not sure if there are new people working or not but everything is finally in working order. Hopefully it'll stay that way. The gate has been fixed last month and also working so far. Noise complaint is still the same, or maybe a little worse. I went from hearing my old neighbor singing all day to a couple arguing and stomping almost every few days . You can hear front doors slam and people's conversations as well. I think management may have gotten better since the last time I've dealt with them but not everything is 100% perfect, at least it's much better.

That said, everything--including the GREAT maintenance--was great until I gave notice that I was moving. My AC has now been out 7 days despite maintenance coming constantly and telling me it was fixed. Not. Then, I noticed that at the offices something changed. I don't know if there was a new manager or supervisor, but they no longer provided regular cream for the free coffee--it was all sugary crap. I was told this was because the new manager wanted the coffee bar to be more "bougie!" Also, the attitudes of the staff down there has changed. Just not as friendly and have a "I don't give a shit" attitude. So in summary, I was thrilled to live here for 2 years, and now I must give a 1-star rating where 4 months ago I would have given 5 stars. And by the way--My AC is STILL OUT!!!
