The new owner management leaves MUCH to be desired! My daughter and I were excited to see that the shop was purchased and visited Saturday to check out the place. It's very similar with product but without the warmth and congeniality of the staff. There were no customers in the store. The person at the register had no personality and no care for the items purchased basically throwing in as an afterthought Some tissue paper. I'm probably not being fair But when your competition is a big box store you need to stand out in a special way to attract people. Shopping local should be an experience as it was under previous ownership.. I was expecting at the very least the same kind of attention to detail-- friendliness of staff maybe some enthusiasm but that was not the case and sadly we will not be back.

Hobs is a wonderful clean litte shop where I have found many vintage and antique quality items…read morereasonably priced. Some of the items that I have found and fallen in love with are a mint-in-box 1962 Skipper doll, a beautiful red wool cape from the 50's, in excellent condition, and several pieces of my grandmother's china as well. Recenlty I purchased a vinage pair of opal earings from their Ebay site. I love that the proceeds from my purchases support Heartlinks Hospice, a local non porfit agency. The day after shopping I decided I wanted to part ways with a couple of the things I bought. I went into the store and the lady told me they don't do returns. Which should've been stated at time of purchase. Nor did I see any signs about that. All the tags were still on the clothes and it had only been maybe 24 hours.
