My husband and I purchased a cream colored sectional from Macy's and bought the extended warranty. We noticed they used different leather on parts of our furniture. We hadn't even had it a month and one of the seat started separating on the leather. I called someone out three times and they would not do anything. Do not buy furniture from Macy's! Due to reasons you don't care about, I haven't worn makeup in a few years and decided, now that I no longer need to wear a mask, it was time for new makeup. I'm of an age that I really had no idea what I needed, or wanted. Stopped in Macy's cosmetics (Columbia Center Mall) and met Soshi (not sure how to spell it, but that's how it sounds to me). She started asking questions, and we moved from one counter to another and ended up at Clinique. Clinique is a brand I recognized, and have used. She helped me decide on a color, did not try to over sell me, in fact when I asked a couple of questions about a product, she ended up putting it back. I missed the 'make-up gene' when I was born, and this charming and knowledgable young lady was a great help. If you need help with makeup, I strongly recommend Macy's and ask for Soshi. Macy's is Macy's is Macy's. Wherever you are the size of the store decides what is stocked. The bigger the store, the greater the variety. This Macy's has a distinct advantage over many other Macy's as it is at least 50 mile away from any other Macy's and it is at least 150 miles away from any Macy's of comparable size. The entrance to the store from the center of the Mall is typical in that it opens up into the Cosmetics department. Women's shoes are also prominent as they dominate the right side of the front of the store. The rest of the main floor is dedicated to women's, young women's fashions including jewelry and accessories. Downstairs you will find all the housewares, luggage, mattresses, lingerie, dresses and clothing for the more mature/curvaceous woman, The men's and children's departments have been relegated to another section of the Mall and require you to make a two to three minute walk past the food court to find them. Apart from the separation of men and women, this store does a pretty good job of catering to everybody's taste. On most Saturdays throughout the year, you will find this Macy's full with shoppers. There are three additional outside entrances to this store, one on the lower floor and two on the right and left side of the main floor. If you pick the correct entrance, you can purchase a Starbucks coffee on your way into the store to make your shopping experience even more enjoyable. read more

What is it with these people? They are like friggin robots here, repeating the same stupid sales pitch word for word about getting a Macy's card to save money. Most of the time I tell them no once and they let it go. The other day I went there and this lady working over by the plates and kitchenware made me REALLY mad. She tried to hustle the card to me once and I politely said no thanks but then she wouldn't drop it. She kept trying to get me to sign up for the card, becoming increasingly more and more aggressive about it. She was all telling me stuff like "oh so what, you don't like to save money"? NO! Maybe I dont OK? So after I politely say I dont want the card once just F off and ring my stuff up!!@!#@! Im generally very easygoing but it took some restraint to not be rude.. Overall the store has some decent stuff, probably one of the better places in the Tri-Cities that Ive found for name brand clothing. Know of anywhere else, please message me. I will go back just due to lack of choices but I really loathe dealing with the sales associates there. Anyways, Im going to complain to HQ, and long for a Nordstrom to set up shop. read more

I bought some heels from here and went to west them to a party. When I got out of my car I realized I could not walk in them. So I went home and put them back in the box and wore some other shoes. I took them back the next day and they refused to return them. They said the "heel was scuffed"?! I didn't even wear them long enough to scuff!! There was no scuff mark. I just got a Macy's card and will be trashing it since they can't do customer service I won't be wasting my money. Really wish I could wear the shoes. They are gorgeous. I bought a toaster oven at Christmas, I had to for in 3 times to get it. Then they credited my account. I tried to call them and could not get a hold of anyone due to Covid. I thought I had over paid, then, I didn't receive anything for a while. All of the sudden I received an over due notice for 60 days. I paid it right away. Later when refinancing my house I found out they dropped my credit rating 100 points. When I called them about it, the would not fix it. Cause they say the called and sent me stuff. They had done neither. I would have paid them. They lost a customer for life today. Fair warning about that card. It will stick with me for two years. I will never shop there again. read more

I made repeated calls to customer service to get the credit for the double charge to my account, this was a month ago! Now this is where customer service comes in, or should I say lack of, "customer service"! The coat was the wrong size. So thinking, like most retailer's I could just exchange it.......Wrong! Macy's in Kennewick WA was less than helpful with my simple exchange! I was treated like I stole the coat. When I explained that "Macy's Customer care had assured me, Macy's in Kennewick could just have one of their other stores send me the right size.......Wrong again! This was the only good thing about having the charge on my "Macy's" credit card, making a paper trail of my purchase, I was able to prove that I was not some vagrant from off the street. Kennewick Macy's sent me on my way, giving me a song and dance about their "Back Stage" line had no SKU numbers for them to identify their merchandise.........Reallly? How, in this day and age of technology, is this even possible? The Manager of the department came over and spent some time staring at the monitor and gave me this helpful information. Here's my reasons... * Origins (try the Ginger Souffle) * Bare Minerals (it's about time, no more trips to Portland for make-up) * MAC cosmetics * Nice lady at the Coach counter. * Colorful display of Fiesta dinnerware * Great parking (you sometimes have to stalk people leaving the store) And the best thing about Macy's...the restroom! If you have to go to the bathroom while at Columbia Center Mall, there is no better place than Macy's. It is conveniently located right in the center of the mall. The best one is at the main Macy's, not men's and childrens. It's on the bottom floor right across from the down comforters. It's a single room, wheel chair accessible. I was recently in the market for an iron, and the one I bought at Best Buy wasn't cuttin' it. I came here and found a better selection, and some decent options. I used to know 2 sales women there as I worked across the mall at Warmsoup River( disguised name) and was in the mall a lot. I often bought clothes here to wear at that job. Saleswomen were excellent and I had all my training to compare with their actions. I feel like the makeup area is filled with fake people. How much makeup does one need on their faces? Macys Kennewick, WA has poor customer service. The lady working in the customer service appeared upset right away when I tried to return the brassieres that irritated and left a scrape on my daughter's skin. When I returned the merchandize, the tags for both had already been discarded. To help facilitate an easy transaction, I showed the printed receipt with picture of the item from my online purchase to the lady. I was lectured they needed the tag, and I understood clearly why. However, the way she talked, her facial expression and gestures showed that she was upset. I explained that my daughter had worn one of the bras and a scrape on her skin developed after a few hours of wearing it. The material, despite that it's soft, caused the redness, skin irritation and painful scrape on both sides. The lady inspected the bras and said that it looked like both were worn. I told her that my daughter mentioned she had worn only one, but if she did, I would still return both back since they were the same kind, style, material, and brand that caused the irritation. The lady firmly said that they cannot accept the return because it had been worn. I asked her to call the manager instead. However, even when I spoke with the manager, he told me that because the item had been worn, they would not accept it and that " it is like buying an underwear". I understood the concept, but I was not returning an underwear! I was also questioned why my daughter continued to wear it over a period of time despite the discomfort. I explained that at first I also thought the strap probably just needed to loosen or adjusted, but it did not help. Furthermore, the scrape did not happen in a couple of minutes, it took a few hours for the discomfort and skin breakdown to developed. The return process that they denied not only was disappointing, but as if the lady and the manager made me feel like I was in a court room defending myself why I was returning the brassieres worn by my daughter. Obviously, they were not concerned of what my daughter went through. I would avoid shopping from this branch from now on. read more

The MAC store is terrible. The music is so loud and obnoxious. I do not like having to ask what was asked to me by the employees and vice versa. The male employee was not knowledgable of the products and seemed more concerned with visiting with the other employee. Macy's Men's Department is so wonderful. Tyler and Danny helped me find a dress coat for Christmas for my husband. They did not have the size I needed in this store so they called all over and found one in Spokane. They are having it sent to my house in time for Christmas! They also were wonderful they found a coupon for me to use which saved me 25% off of my purchase. They were so warm friendly and helpful in such a busy shopping season it was very refreshing. Skincare/makeup department is very small... I ended up having to order online (from Macy's). Their inventory is also pretty limited when sales are happening (shoes). I found them online but couldn't even get them shipped to this store for pickup to avoid paying shipping fees. I am in the process of going through a nasty divorce. I missed a payment and Macy's immediately put it on my credit report. I am 67 years old, having to start over again. I asked Macy's to please take that off and Macy's stated it was beyond there control and refused to help me. When the email notification comes in for payment, i schedule the payment at that time however, missed scheduling or, didn't go through for some reason. A horrible experience to say the least. People go to Macy's because of there quality of cloths and there expertise and customer service. These are just a few and small qualities customers measure Macy's by. Unfortunately, none of these are ever on display at the Kennewick one. I purchase my work cloths and shoes and sometimes I'll buy some suits, fragrance there, charge on my Macy's card and paid my card off. So, I purchase jeans last week brought them home hung them up I knew they were the right size no big deal. Went to wear them, ripped a few tags off and a few still on. Didn't fit, went into Macy's dealt with a women at the desk she says I can't retard them your missing some tags. Like wow, I just spent 50.00 on jeans and were not EXCHANGING them over some tags. I asked for a manager, Anthony came over 20 min later. This guy seem clueless about policies and procedures. I said I would like to exchange those pants never been wore just a few tags missing. He says you can't there missing tags, I said do you mind if I put the tags back on, he says you could of wore them, really they don't fit. I finally asked him for his corporate number he proceeds to give me Macy's.com 800 number thinking I was stupid. So I called them there in the store got someone on the line. The guy on the phone said to me would you like me to send you a return slip I said I bought them in the store he says let me talk with the guy I put Anthony on the line the guy tells Anthony were .com only. Anthony doesn't know what lie to tell next so he says I couldn't understand him. Wow! I said that wasn't your corporate office that was .com he says to me you didn't push the right option, I said oh ya can you push the right one? He says no I can't do that. Let's review here, I've spend a great deal of money and here, in question is a 50.00 pair of pants that don't fit with a few tags missing, am I asking for much? So I'm mad walking out the store I stop and talk to an associate ( should be the manager) explain my dissatifaction with the store she was very good help however she didn't have the authority to do anything. This is for the Mac and Lancôme counters....I needed some false lashes applied for a function, I went into Mac said Id like to buy some lashes and have them applied, I was told no as she was the only person there for 20 minutes and couldn't be distracted. There was one other customer who said she was just browsing and I was there to actually spend money! Wait!! It's a makeup store, YOU APPLY MAKEUP!! She then said to go to the Lancôme counter, there was no one to be seen and when I did find the sales girls they were all standing around talking to each other. They even made eye contact and kept on chatting. I stopped shopping at Macy's years ago and hadn't shopped at Columbia Center since college, I'll stick with that trend as I will never go back.
