This is the best late-night food cart I found in Roma/Condessa! They're only open at…read more7:30pm-11:30pm, but there's always at least 6 people here, and sometimes as many as 15-20. You can order ahead by phone and pick up, which many people do.
Tortillas, Quesadillas, Pambazos, Tostadas, Gorditas and Sopes are all made fresh only after you order, in distinction to most all of the street stands I've seen. There's a whole range of toppings (see menu pic), even Huitlacoche, and everything I had there (4 meals over two weeks) was fantastic. The salsa verde was incredible - people would regularly request extra bags of it to take home. Prices were ridiculous- everything on the menu is like $1 or so. I just picked up two gorditas (chicken and steak), a chicken tostada, and three quesadillas (mole, huitlacoche and chorizo) and the total price was 95 pesos, or 2/3 of what one cocktail cost me the night before in Roma.
The only downside is if you don't order ahead, and there's a line, you'll have to wait 5-10min, but that's just because everything is made to order. If you're in the neighborhood, check this place out. It wasn't only any guides until I added it, and 95% of the customers seem to be locals from the neighborhood, catching a quick and good dinner after work.
