There is a big difference in 'refurbished' apartments and 'new' ones. These were built with 9 foot ceilings, and so much cabinet space, I wish I didn't downsize for the other apartments we've lived in! It's beauty is remarkable, and the amenities are unsurpassed. Most importantly, unlike nearly all residential neighborhoods today, it's truly a community, where residents who choose to participate have the opportunity to come together to share friendship and an enormous range of activities and social events, supported and encouraged by personable professional management. My wife and I are people people, and we've always had many friends wherever we've lived. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect the spirit of what was advertised. The information provided about the program was unclear, and I felt that the benefits and qualifications were not communicated accurately or consistently. The overall impression I received was that first responders are not valued in the way the marketing materials suggest. Potential renters who are considering Tesson Ridge because of the Hometown Hero Program should ask detailed questions and obtain all terms and conditions in writing before making a decision. I hope management takes steps to improve transparency and ensure that the program delivers what prospective residents are led to expect.

I asked the apartment manager who owned the apartment complex. She refused to tell me; she said it was owned by a private individual. One of my other neighbors told me that she told them the same thing when she asked who owned the complex. When I first moved in, there was a couple below me who were alcoholics and fought constantly. They were extremely noisy and disruptive. When I complain to the manager she just said well you can move to another apartment here. She refused to deal with the problem. I told her I just paid for moving and I did not want to have additional expenses.
