This is a nice park with basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields. Very well maintained and plenty of parking spaces.

Equinox South Beach Review…read more Equinox South Beach is truly in a league of its own. From the moment you walk in, the front host and hostess set the tone -- they're incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. It feels like they actually see you, which makes such a difference when you're coming in to work out. The coaches on site are top-tier professionals. Whether you're training one-on-one or taking a class, they bring knowledge, energy, and real attention to form and technique. You can tell they genuinely want members to improve and feel their best. One thing that stands out every visit is the non-stop cleaning crew. They move through the space constantly, keeping everything spotless. Machines, floors, locker rooms -- everything feels fresh and well cared for, which makes the gym experience so much better. And of course, the juice bar is fabulous. Perfect post-workout smoothies, healthy snacks, and quick service -- it's become part of my routine every time I come in. Management deserves recognition too. They keep the club running smoothly, maintain a high standard, and ensure the entire space feels elevated and organized. Overall, Equinox South Beach delivers an exceptional experience across the board -- friendly staff, professional coaches, immaculate facilities, and great amenities. Easily one of the best gym environments in Miami. Location 5/5 Staff 5/5 Overall 5/5 The foodie shall return

After significant construction, the park reopened to the public on December 15, 2024. 96th Street Park is located on Indian Creek so there is scenic water views. During the upgrades to the park, a multipurpose field, state-of-the-art playground equipment, and a full-size basketball court were added. There is also a new LEED Silver-certified multi story municipal community center, Thrive 250 fitness equipment, and a kayak launch. Shade structures, fencing, advanced lighting solutions, landscaping, and comprehensive irrigation systems were also added to the park. The city holds many of its resident events here like a Winter Wonderland and Spring Egg Hunt. With its fresh design and new features, this park is a premier gathering space for the community. Whether you're looking to engage in sports, enjoy water activities, or simply relax in a beautiful setting, this modern park has something for everyone.

We've been visiting this park since we moved here four years ago. This is not our favorite park,…read moreas it tends to get very crowded at times. But the tree shade is a rare plus. We usually stop by when we're walking to or from Surfside. We visited midday on a Saturday when I took these photos and there was only one other family there, so it was a very pleasant experience. The shade under the trees gives you a breezy and cool feel on a hot summer day. The equipment at this park is a bit outdated and needs an upgrade, in my opinion. Our son loves the basketball courts and they also have a very large soccer field (grassy area) to play on. The Surfside community has many events here for residents only, which we are unable to attend since we live across the bridge. :-P

These birds are adorable, but they are threatened by habitat loss. There is a volunteer who regularly checks for Piping Plovers during migration, and she looks for bands that reveal the path of the bird's migratory flight. It's important that we have places for these birds to forage, and I hope the city continues to protect this beach for that use. The bathrooms were a welcome amenity. I had problems paying the parking fee, it was a complicated process. There were about 10 peafowl (peacocks) that roamed the park, a remaining vestige of when this was a zoo. There were many wild birds throughout the park.

They have other public skate days so check out their schedule to learn what they are. Bring gloves as it can be a bit on the chilly side, and you definitely don't want to freeze your butt off for those 2 hours. Plus if you happen to slip and fall, your hands will stay warm. Also, come with a jacket and maybe a couple layers; no one has fun while shivering. When I arrived at 4pm, there was only an hour left to skate and the condition of the ice was already hacked. I think they should resurface the ice between the 2 hours as it would make the experience much more enjoyable; it wouldn't take more than 10 mins or so...at least the outer edge where most people skate around and not the center area. Sure it's much slicker, but the way the ice was...you would be tripping over holes that would catch your skates out of no where. Most of the skaters were from young children 3 years told to men in their 50s or so who can really skate. Kinda how I-95 is with so many different drivers with so many different skills; it could be a formula for a head on.
