Student be careful. Try to search other language school that are more affordable. Do you know that you can get 2 course by just paying 1 course only per term? Los Angeles campus applies that to some of their students. It is not offered to Irvine students push them to transfer to another school or question them about this so you can avail the same offer. Don't pay long term tuition as they will hold on this and deduct so much when you decide to transfer or end your class with them when they see you have still cash balance left. For agency, they offer different commission until 35% so think twice if you will send student here as commissions are not given fairly. Korean owners the Parks are so stingy and just after collecting money and tuition to students but don't care about the welfare of employees. This is a toxic and bad company to work with. Go somewhere else if you have a good values and good reputation find a better partner school. They hold employees 15 days of initial work salary. Once employee decided to leave or they terminate them without any notice they will no longer release the 15 days salary. Monthly salary here is only $600 no overtime pay even with extended working hours and unlimited shouting humiliation and tons of work from owners. But they will no longer release the $300 salary that you have worked for. That's how they are. They are just after recruiting students and treat employees like robots. This is hilarious!!! If i have to chance to give 0 point i would give. Poly is just trying to make money. I tried to transfer to college but i couldn't because of poly. They didn't tell me exactly everything. This school like a joke and money stealer. Whenever when you go that school you will see problems end of the month. Most of the 1-star ratings are from people who are not even students!!! I had most of my prerequisites from golden west transfer to west coast (people at GWC were waiting up to 7 years for an Associate's...no thanks to that. They just want your money. Admin does not care for the students and over enroll people just to make more and more money. Advisors are no real help. Most are there only to collect a check. Most teachers are joke non-native from phillippine islands except for few educated native ones ( you know who you are) the Dean of the school lol not sure if I can comment here. My last class was deleted and I had to come back to the lower level to be able to continue studying (solution that I had to find on my own because the office had not anticipated this change and it is not always very accommodating...).I am going to start connecting with people to figure out how this so called education joke is running their operation. I came to Irvine , CA in order to improve my English skill. At first, I studied ESL program in University, but it was expensive for me to study a long time, so I transferred to private language school. I went to visit some school near my home. Finally, I chose POLY because when I came to visit here ,I felt comfortable although at first my speaking skill was bad. The front office is very nice - they gave me a lot of information and showed the classrooms. It was very clear information and the classroom were very nice and clean. I had to take placement test to know what level I am. They have 2 test to make sure what level you are. I have been in POLY almost 5 months.It isn't long time but I am very close to every teacher because they are very kind. They help me a lot, not only in the book - recommend food, place to travel etc. In class, we have about 7-15 students that is small class. The teacher give a lot of opportunities to speak English and writing in English that why my English skill improve very fast and effective. I always think I made a great decision that I chose to study in here. read more

If you just want a visa to be in the US and don't care about learning English, Poly is the school for you. I hope ICE reads this. Apparently if you have enough money the management won't bother you about attendance. Many of the students work illegally on the side and talk about it openly. One student used to leave class early and would say, "Well, gotta go to work" Places like Poly are basically backdoor immigration scams. The guy who owns this 'school' inherited it and has been running it into the ground ever since. He couldn't run a lemonade stand. He is a liar and a backstabber who thinks he's an expert on teaching, even though he has a degree from the University of Nowhere. The entire curriculum is very test centered. After 2 weeks you will have a midterm and after another 2 weeks will have a final. It's very rushed, boring, and not fun at all. Apparently the owner likes to sexually harass employees. One employee accused him of harassment so he fired her. Good move there JP. I hope she sues the living crap out you. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I have been studying in POLY for 6 mounths. At first, I have to say that I dont think this is a good school because it is only a language school and also it has a small schoolyard. Actually, I was there just because I wanna do my reinstatement, I dont except study some real things there. However, 6 mounth later, I just find out I was totally wrong, It is a fantastic school. Every teacher in POLY is impresive. Well, for me, they are not only my teacher, but also my friends. I am not a liar. In fact, I have studied in some other language school before, at that time, I thought study english is some kinds of mission, I was not HAPPY for learning, but in POLY, I like to go to class because I can feel something that makes me HAPPY. Also, it is a only school I ever heard that help student to do their reinstatement. So, if you have some problem with your I-20 or you really wanna improve your English withou bored. I find this school in a Chinese social advertisement, known this school was there for a long time. but never once tried to come in for a visit. recently, there are many Chinese students coming in for advisor Maggie. I came in with my friend, Maggie's WeChat service is quick and easy. I made many new friends in this school, and even have friends to go to the coffee shop together. people who first came here maybe feel alone and not able to talk to people. Don't choose Poly. All classes recording on zoom and they have to kick out if we do not turn on cameras. T1: If you are like me, just show your face. No matter what. Unless allowed to turn off your camera. 2: Email the teacher, and tell them that you are uncomfortable when showing your face. Try either one out, and if it does not work, ask again! I have a ton more options, but these are a few. They use it to get more money. Again students don't have privacy in Poly. They are monitoring all students. Very very scary... They want money only.
