Even though my son did improve on his reading scores this was not the school for him. The amount of work they made him do was not realistic. I also don't want him sitting in school all day and then coming home and doing homework all night. The academics were good in some classes but the Geometry teacher Mr. Brooks wasn't a good teacher and the Art teacher Ms Zolna was very rude to her students. The guidance counselor was not personable and focused more on academics then the overall well being of the student. I decided to homeschool my son this year. read more

Very rude, disrespectful office stuff. Every time I come to pick up my teenager a hispanic lady is talking to me with an attitude. At the same time another parent who was also Hispanic came to pick up her child today and she was talking very nice to her. Every time she's trying to correct the paper that I filled out for an early dismissal . The other Office staff is an elderly white lady, every time she greets me with "What's up ?" you wonder why kids don't have respect to adults these days , when their parents are being greeted in school with "What's up "instead of " "how are you doing ?" The first time she greeted me like that I took it actually as a compliment ( in my middle age ) thinking she thought of me as a high school student ,but next time she said it again and so did she greeted other parents. They say it takes the whole village to raise a child. What do you expect from teenagers to learn in the environment like that. I wonder how people without simple manors get these kind of jobs, if they talk to me like that I can't imagine how they talk to our children. But , there is a young guy who is helping them out in the office. He is always polite! read more

Took my kid out of Stoneman Douglas and enrolled here at PBHS. I toured the school this evening at the Open House. I met my child's teachers and what a difference! It's an old school building but extremely clean and the classrooms are fully equipped with the latest technology for the students to learn with. These teachers that I met all told me that they love teaching and many have worked in this school for many years. I highly recommend this school. read more

The staff at the school were incredibly rude. When I attempted to pick up my child, they attempted to deny me my right to pick her up. Would not recommend to anyone who cares about there children. read more
