If I Could Give Them a Zero I would Horrible Place For Any Truck Driver To Go Too. I paid $30 to park per night called to update my contract for another night then had a family emergency so my phone died at the hospital the following day. Came to pick up my trailer they said I didn't update my contract for the previous day so I had to pay the parking plus $5 extra per hour the trailer was there which was about 16 hrs from when the previous Agreement expired, so I was told it was $180 I owed which was 1 night plus the $5 hourly after. Total RIPP OFF'S Yall just be careful with these people. It's not even a real Truck Stop has Regular Car parking spots. Stay Away!!!! read more

When I tell you this place is filthy. I paid thirty dollars for a shower for my wife and I (fifteen dollars a piece). She showered first, then myself. Upon me getting inside and showering, I seen a maggot crawl up the wall to get away from the heat of the water. After several attempts I successfully killed it. I finished my shower and put my clothes on at the other end. As I'm doing that I seen yet another maggot in the corner just chillin. I made a mental note that if I'm ever in the area to bypass this place. It's not a healthy place for drivers that's been inside a truck on the highway to come to somewhere clean to get clean. I'd rather wait my turn in the Everglades swamp and shower. Mold all inside the shower and the Crispy Chicken is dried out biscuits taste like dried out paper towels chicken is either over cooked or not finished cooking. If I could give this place a negative 1000 I would. I'd highly recommend against this sad existence... read more

Just a few blocks down from the strip club, this Pompano Truck Stop leaves much to be desired. Seated next to an ugly "no tell motel", the ambiance of the place suggests a high crime area with bars on the windows, security cameras everywhere, and large signs indicating you'll be towed if you don't pay to park. Not sure if they had showers, but there looks to be no restaurant close, and I don't think my husband would've let me out of the truck to check anyway. Scary by looks alone, I wouldn't recommend this place to any fellow women drivers. We instead will be going the extra 17 miles to the 595 Truck Stop where even paying to park, it's a small city unto itself, with security 24/7, a restaurant, and I know I can walk the dog after dark without issues. read more

It is what it is, it's Pompano Beach, FL 35 miles north of Miami. It sits right next to a Motel 6 and next to the Motel 6 is a no name Budgetel Hotel and next to the Budgetel is a 24/7 gas station. All 4 places are right across the street from McDonald's. The Police are at the Motel 6 from 9pm to 5am 7 days a week. Police frequent the Pompano Truck Stop coming into cruise thru the lot or go inside to buy a Coke and snacks. This is a paid to park truck stop for the day/night unless you buy 100 gallons of diesel fuel than it's free parking. You can park there during the day while waiting for a load to go pick up without paying to park. If you decide to stay the night than you will have to pay but just hanging for a few hours during the day they won't hound you to pay. They are nice guys that own the place and work inside but of course they want you to spend money and buy fuel. All in all it's an ok place to park since any truck driver knows Miami isn't a truck parking friendly town. It's easy access off the Florida Turnpike and I-95 but way closer to the FTP than I-95. Food is a hot deli like potato wedges, chicken wings, Cuban hot pockets, Nathan's hotdogs, breakfast hot deli in the morning and a cooler with cold sandwiches along with everything else a Pilot Truck Stop would sell to give you an idea what they have. You can also walk across the street to McDonald's but either way you won't starve while you're there. Like I said in the beginning it is what it is for safety it's not the best but the truck stop does their best and they give full reigns to the local police to patrol it 24/7 they welcome all police officers to stop in. The local people and the homeless that hang around know that to. Also they do their best to keep the Lot Lizards out but every driver knows that they always find a way to sneak in than get caught and ran off or arrested by the local police. I've never had any trouble or problems there, just keep your truck locked and mind your own business while you're there. I give it a 5/5 Stars because it's a friendly place to park and you won't starve while you're there and it's easy access off the FL Turnpike. read more
