We paid $15,000 for them to do nothing for us... it gets worse. When we were making payments, they were calling constantly to check in on my husband (because they wanted to make sure their payment was coming.) When it came time for our first court date - no one showed up. They hired an outside lawyer who knew nothing about our case, the judge didn't even know why we were there because we drove over 2 hours to be there and stated that we could've done a video call and that our case was dismissed. After that we started our petition case. They lost our paperwork and documentation 3 times. We had to pay out of pocket to get them documents over and over again. To this day, we still don't know where those documents are or whose hands they are in, which is terrifying. They rushed our paperwork because of this even though we knew we needed more they still filed. We never got any calls or check ins after all the money was paid. We never knew who had our case because we never were able to talk to the same person, when we would personally call to check the status. We knew it would take time but never heard anything. We then personally got a notice in January from USCIS that we did not have representation starting June of 2024. That is 2 years of no representation! When we called they stated "oh the previous attorney had left and we did not know about your case." Excuse me? They then proceeded to be pushy and making up excuses for their actions. They then said we would need to pay another $15,000-$20,000 by Adrian for them to take on our case again because we were denied from USCIS because we were never aware of what was going on. We then requested for an invoice of everything that was paid for with the previous $15,000 at the end of January. We are now in June and still haven't received anything. We called multiple times to talk with Adrian to receive this information, they kept telling us he was on "lunch" and that "he will call you back."We have not heard from anyone since then. That is why this is being written. We obviously did not hire them again. They are untrustworthy, disorganized and just looking for their big pay out. I wouldn't even give this law firm a 1 star rating since this has been traumatic and emotionally traumatizing for our family, but yelp won't let you leave zero stars. Please be aware and do your research before hiring any immigration law firm, and highly suggest you do not use this law firm.

He took my money and took no steps to further my case, and in fact showed that he had no understanding of the case. Although Murguia holds himself out as US law firm, he is not. He is not licensed to practice, or practicing in the US. He's a Mexican lawyer who simply opened a mail drop office in Texas so he could claim to be a US lawyer. He's not. If you call the "US office "you get rerouted to his Mexican office. I contacted Attorney Murguia with an urgent matter to be filed immediately relating to with a property dispute with a statue of limitations. I told him that I had to have the criminal complaint filed within a few weeks, even though the court was going on recess for the holidays. Attorney Murguia misrepresented that he understood my case completely, and the urgency of it, and he told me in writing that his office would work on and develop my case while the court was on holiday recess and be ready to file the first week in January. On that basis he said he needed me to send him US$1200 US immediately so they could proceed immediately. I sent him the money and then wrote him numerous times over the course of two weeks, reminding him that the land dispute case was urgent, He never replied to any of my correspondence. Neither he nor his staff ever worked on the case that I had asked him to work on, and he clearly had no understanding of the urgency , or the legal issues, or anything else about the case, although I had gone over it with him in detail, and also sent him a written summary of the case and. sent him detailed documentation . He never even reviewed it! Nor did he apparently read or reviewed the text that I sent him about the specifics of the case and how urgent it was I consulted him about two separate cases. I wrote out the basis for each case, and send him the documents for each case. One case had to do with the land dispute, which I repeatedly told him was urgent. I asked him to focus on that case to get it filed first The other case had to do with a condominium association. After I sent him the print documents to each of the two cases, and the money, he did not even read any of the materials or the mini texts I sent in reminding him that the land dispute case was urgent. When Attorney Marguia did not respond to me within two weeks, I asked for my money back. He refused to give it back to me. Instead, he tried to sell me on paying him to do a power of attorney that I could use when I left the country in six months, which was quite irrelevant. He had never read my correspondence, he had never reviewed my documents, . After I asked for my money back several times because he had failed to respond to me in anyway , he sent me a pitiful discussion of the condominium regime, which appeared to be the kind of analysis a law student would make. It was not pertinent to either of the cases that I had discussed with Attorney Murguia . Instead of taking any action relevant to the cases I had consulted him about , Attorney Murguia tried to get more money from me in order to prepare a power of attorney that he recommended that I have when I left the country, which was not going to happen for at least six more months and was totally irrelevant at the time. Attorney Murguia did not understand the cases that he had told me that he understood,, did not ever review the analysis of the cases and the materials I sent him, or pay any attention to my correspondence to him, in which I outlined both cases . He, or some lost student he delegated to, got confused and he had somebody at the level of a law student write me some irrelevant comments on a document that was not sent to him related to the land dispute, and the law student type of comments had nothing to do with either of the cases that I was urgently trying to get filed. He took my money on false pretenses that he would start preparing the land dispute case immediately, and he never did. And he refused to return my money, despite the fact that he did nothing relevant to the cases I discussed with him. I hope you will be forewarned and stay away from this Attorney.
