We paid for an initial weapon fee and then we were able to switch out weapons for free, just had to pay for ammunition. The staff were super helpful and knowledgeable. I was suprised and a little skeptical of how easy it was to just go shoot! We had a blast though. The safety gave us a quick rundown on how to use the machine to move the targets. They had really fun posters for the Halloween season. We shot at pictures of a zombie Jeffery Dahmer, world dictators., and pumpkins. Neat concept to have a restaurant connected to a shooting range too- made a good birthday suprise for my dad! They even have soap to remove lead in the bathrooms if you choose to eat after shooting.

Specifically, after about 20 phone calls they were the only store that had 9M fmj range ammo in stock, albeit at a significantly higher price than usual. Supply & demand during covid... There were a few things on our list and they actually had them all in stock, which is rare for a gun store these days. A woman helped us who was very knowledgeable and helpful. Among other things, she was able to help me pick out a pair of range safety glasses that fit the pumpkin resting on my shoulders so that was exciting. Their prices were a bit above average, but they made me feel safe shopping there, had everything I needed, and provided excellent service. Those are three things I'm willing to pay somewhat of a premium for in this day and age. Their covid response game is on point - locked doors, strictly regulated capacity, wearing masks the right way, distancing, & hand sanitizer. The only potential nitpick is that the line isn't taped, but people were being respectful in line so not really a hangup for us. One last note - limit of 2 boxes of ammo per person per calibre per day, so bring all your non-gun-toting friends if they're willing. Maybe bribe them with food, because there are some awesome restaurants nearby... Would I recommend/revisit: You betcha!

I now shop their website and still find exactly what I want and need. I am a garden flag guy. I have multiple post and change the flags on the regular. My collection of flags celebrate, holidays, local sports teams, pets, pride and my foodie personality. Since STL added a new sports team, I needed a new garden flag to support them. I was on-line researching and found one. I was getting ready to purchase my new City SC flag when a e-mail from Abigail's popped into my in-box. I cannot explain why I stopped my purchase and went to check my new mail, but I'm glad I did. Lucky for me the e-mail was announcing their new merchandise promoting, City SC. I went back and cancelled my order I was doing with a major retailer and placed an order with Abigail's. I prefer to support a small business, then pad the pockets of a major retailer. My package arrived in just a couple days. I received text messages telling me, they received my order and then telling me it had shipped. When I opened my package, it had a hand written note, thanking me for supporting a small business. This is the second business who has done that for me, this month. If you need a unique gift, I recommend shopping at Abigail's. However, if you're a shopaholic, beware, you my lose self-control.
