Pond oaks is the most beautiful and magical outdoor venue tucked away in the mountains. The venue is right off the main highway but once you are inside you feel like you are completely secluded somewhere far away. Jennifer and Caylee were amazing to work with from start to finish. They are very flexible and just so sweet, you will feel welcomed right away. A huge plus is that the venue includes catering in the packages leaving the bride/groom with less stress on trying to source vendors. There are many different food options to choose from and the bakery they use is amazing as well. The way they present and decorate the venue is so beautiful and creative. I am a type A personality and wanted things to be done/look a certain way; with Jennifer and Caylee in charge I didn't feel the need to be super specific with my vision. I knew we were on the same page the whole time. Caylee does the florals for the events and her work is incredible and once again, exactly what I was looking for. Our day, 10/6/23 was so beautiful with all the fall vibes. We got so many compliments from all our guests. Many said it was the most beautiful wedding venue they've ever been to! All in all the value of what you get for your money at Pond Oaks compared to other venues is incredible. It's beautiful and affordable! We would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding or other special event venue. Thank you Jennifer and Caylee!!

    Cute hand washing station.

It's a little drive up the mountain, but nothing too bad. Such a quaint venue. Plenty of space to have different areas for your event. We were at a fundraising event. Everything was wonderfully set in different areas of the property. Management is so friendly. Plenty of string lights to make it a magical atmosphere. 300+ people at the event with still so much room to have a larger attendance. The evening was spectacular.

COVID hit and we tried again for October, but then finally was able to have our wedding in June of 2021. Through all the changes, Savannah, the wedding coordinator made sure that our wedding day was the day in which we had been dreaming of. Savannah was beyond organized and so kind. She is also so patient in answering all of your questions and meeting with you to go over plans. During COVID she worked on re-decorating and updating the lodge so that it looked even better than we could possibly imagine. If you are looking for a beautiful and rustic wedding venue, I would highly recommend this lodge. Also, the lodge booking comes with all the greatest vendors: For our photographer we had James Tang and he is beyond incredible. He is so energetic and goes above and beyond to get the perfect picture. Our DJ was booked through Lakeside DJ with Frank. He was the best DJ we could have asked for. I highly recommend booking with him as well. Also, Fox in the Woods catering's food is to die for. The brisket melts in your mouth and the potatoes are delicious. Tina was beyond sweet and her food is something that you will never forget. For dessert we went with Espie Cakes. If you are able to book with her, order the brownies. They are the best. Finally, our flowers were through Jasmine Rose Flowers. She goes above and beyond to make the ceremony and reception look the way you have dreamed about.

Very little parking and the back leads into an alley way. There was a lot of guests so we were told to park in the residential area which had sketchy surroundings when walking back towards the event space. When we entered the space, it felt like an open layout house. Fairly modern design. Useful space. Two restrooms for guests. There was a small connecting area with a fridge for storage. The next room over was perfect for a small play bouncer. No kitchen area. The catering company all had to set up outside in the already limited parking lot area. The pavement was in ruin. Needs to be replaced. The AC was very cold on a 67 degree day. Two stars docked for the limited parking. inconvenience and the odd location in a commercial/residential zoned area.

In Aug of 2017 I hired LUXE for my event the in July 2018. Below are a few of the issues * Ben said he had other events at this venue, so he would take care of the bartending, no issues. 3 days before the event he told me he couldn't get the license for the event to bartend. He thought he could get by without having the proper ABC license at a city community center? Really? We had to scramble and purchase the alcohol ourselves and then hire a separate bartender. The plan was to have a closed bar. So this caused a lot of issues and additions cost. *Ben was paid an extra fee for "special linens" for the cake,m gift and coffee tables. These were supposed to be above and beyond standard to make it look really nice. What I got instead was cheap white polyester linens. *Ben was also paid extra for a backdrop for the cake and main court table. He didn't supply the backdrop for the cake table at all, and the one he used for the main table looked awful. Bars and other items laying in the back showed up in all of our pictures, ruining them! * After going thru the venue details, Ben said he only needed an hour to prep everything before the start of the event. He then stated if he could get an extra 15 minutes it would help him out. So I paid for an extra 30 minutes to the hall. My event started at 5pm. Now after 6pm he still wasn't done setting up. It took him 2.5 hours to finish setting up. Family and friends starting helping putting linens, center pieces, and plates on the tables to help out. This was quite embarrassing. * After the event was over we had a few hours to get the facility cleaned up. If it was not done in time, I would lose my deposit. Of course this was no skin off of his back. I had to stay and have family and friends assist with the clean up otherwise this company never would have been done in time and I would be out even more money. * Some of my guest also commented that while he was setting up he was helping himself to alcohol! Very unprofessional. * When I spoke to Ben about these issues and let him know I felt I was entitled to some sort of a refund for all of these issues, as others have mentioned her became very defensive and refused and said sue me. He told me I was very ungrateful and was down right rude. He is definitely very unorganized and very unprofessional. Do not risk your precious event and day with this company, you will definitely regret it.

I surprised my boyfriend with a date here, and we both left completely obsessed. We learned more about ostriches than we ever imagined possible, got unbelievably close to them, and even had them nibble on us -- which was equal parts hilarious and unforgettable. Every second of the tour was incredible. Now, to keep it real: this is a small farm. It's mostly ostriches, some desert, some fencing, and at first glance you might think, "okay... giant birds in the dirt." But that's kind of the magic of it. The beauty of this place sneaks up on you the same way a really good book does -- at first it's just paper and words, and then suddenly you're emotionally attached and questioning your entire existence over an ostrich egg. Lou absolutely made the experience. He has such an amazing life story, so much wisdom, and a genuine passion that shines through in everything he talks about. But honestly, the real tour isn't just about the birds -- it's about the way Lou sees the world. One minute he's explaining the mechanics of ostriches like some kind of desert bird engineer, the next he's pointing out California quails you never would've noticed on your own, talking about nature with the kind of excitement that makes you start paying attention too. He'll happily talk with you for as long as you're willing to engage, and you leave realizing there's so much life and beauty packed into what initially looked like "just some land." Also, this man talks about his wife with such genuine love and admiration that it honestly restored my faith in humanity a little bit. It was so sweet hearing someone speak so splendidly about their partner after clearly building a whole life together out there. The entire place feels full of heart because of it. And the honey!! Don't skip the honey. Absolutely delicious. We also bought an ostrich egg for $60 and honestly... worth every penny. We painted the shell afterward and made the world's biggest deviled egg, which is still one of the funniest things we've ever done. Such a unique souvenir and experience. There's also so much more here than just the tour -- Lou's son teaches archery lessons, there's a small campsite, and despite losing their cherry trees from the fire and flood, the farm still has this incredible spirit and resilience that makes you admire them even more. If you go, just keep an open mind. It might not look like much from the get-go, but if you really listen -- really let Lou show you what this place means to him -- you realize you're somewhere genuinely special. It's funny, heartfelt, fascinating, and weirdly grounding all at once. Must see. So glad we went. Stop by -- you won't regret it.
