They were phenomenal with my Evie girl! We just moved here not long ago and hadn't found a vet yet. Recently Evie was sick and I needed to find a vet and I took her here. I called and was seen within an hour. The staff was lovely! The day we were there it was an all female staff and Evie felt very comfortable with them. I don't believe if I've ever seen her this content with a vet visit. I was highly impressed and will absolutely continue going back to them. The prices were very fair, the tests the preformed were very necessary and the antibiotics they gave her seem to be working. I'm very impressed and would recommend them to anyone and everyone. They gave me that small hometown feel that I missed from home. They have my loyalty! read more

The vets were terrific, very professional, caring and attentive with our 5 year old lab and our 14.5 year old cat. Unfortunately this clinic charges almost double what other vets in the area charge for certain treatments. We called 3 other vets in the area and asked them what they would charge for the same treatment and all vets would charge half the amount, as did our old vet in another state. Since we need the allergy shot monthly, we called the office manager at the Pontchartrain Animal Hospital to let them know what others are charging and see if maybe they had inadvertantly over charged for the allergy shot. The office manager did not care at all and we were told that if we could find it cheaper elsewhere to go there. We are a retired couple on a fixed income and have spent approximately $2000 at the clinic in the past six months to get vaccinations updated and establish with new vets. We mistakenly thought that the office manager would at least look into the matter. My husband and I feel this treatment was very unprofessional and find no other option than to secure the services of another vet. Very unfortunate since the vets here are so good. read more

My dog feels so comfortable when she gets out the car and walks to the door it's almost like she's at her second home. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, but mostly professional by displaying their professionalism and concerns you might have. I love this place. read more

Unprofessional owner & Unprofessional Office manager. I never received a phone call or certified mail notifying me that I was no longer a patient. I've been a patient for almost 6yrs. I called to schedule an appointment, and was then told l was fired as a patient. The office manager refused my request to mail all medical records to my home. This clinic condones the horrible attitude and actions a few employees, and would rather fire the patient, and not address the problem. read more

We used this clinic because it was convenient. The vets here appear to be good however their prices here are absolutely outrageous and well above what is being charged elsewhere in the community. Just one example is where they charge $342 for an allergy shot for our dog compared to $173 at another vet in the area. That's almost 100% more! I suggest talking about price and compare around before you commit going to this place.I strongly recommend going anywhere else and only hope my review here has resulted in that. read more

Competent, caring veterinarians and excellent support staff. Fairly easy to get an appointment and they always make time for emergencies.

From the front desk to lab to surgery and veterinarian every single person was caring and very knowledgeable. They made my big scared Doberman comfortable and he did so good during his stay. The staff at Pontchartrain Animal Hospital go above and beyond in their treatment of my fur baby ( and myself by proxy). I brought my cat(dog) into their vet on short notice and they were able to see us no problem. When my pet's test results weren't great, they called my cell immediately and had me bring her back in and hospitalized her to monitor her situation. They called me no less than twice a day with her progress and made time (on my schedule) for to sit and visit with her as long as I needed to while she was there overnights. After she was released I received calls to check on her. The staff treat you like family and when I was a sobbing mess bringing my pet in for her treatment, they were nothing but kind, generous, and made sure I knew she was in good hands. And she was. We are very happy we found this place. We bring both of our dogs. One of which had an ongoing skin issue that our former vet was not able to clear up. Not only is Dr.Naquin very nice she prescribed medication and came up with a treatment plan that works. Our dogs skin looks great. From the front desk staff to the Vet technicians we have been very happy. They even did a follow up call to check to see how the dogs were doing. Dr. Naquin was awesome. We had an appointment for two dogs to have annual vaccines and a regular check up. We also had a few minor skin allergy issues and a sore to be looked at. She was thorough in her exam and gave explanations that were easily to understand. She was also able to recommend a pharmacy to fill a prescription we needed for only $4 dollars. We live in New Orleans and our former vet is retiring. We felt like old friends at Pontchartrain Animal Hospital. The prices are better than reasonable (compared to NOLA). We're happy to pack the dogs up for a 30 minute road trip next time we need to see the doc! read more

The only reason I give this even a star is because the actual vet,himself, is helpful. The ladies that run the front desk are horrible! They put you on hold if you are standing in front of them, or over the phone. They cut you off in the middle of sentences. They really do not seem to be very compassionate..The services they offer are way too expensive and they will not work with you at all. They seem to be more concerned about money than the lives of the animals. I nearly lost my dog fooling around with these people. The lady at the front desk told us we should be grateful that they are going out of their way to help us out. How so? We pay for everything.. They don't offer any payment plan.. They don't affiliate themselves with any charities. You had better have lots of money if you expect these people to be kind and help your furry friends. Places like this disgust me.
