I'm not making this up Once the guys told me that I made it to the right spot I was extremely happy to see what they had to offer. First of all, they are a tequila bar "My favorite" so the cocktails are all tequila based. I had a few of their specials, one tasting like tomato which was insane and then the house Margarita and a few others. I will NEVER forget my time at Cantina OK. Cantina Ok! is clearly on one of these big lists. It doesn't help that my favorite liquor is mezcal either. I had to stop in. And oooooohhhhh I'm glad that I did. We pulled up around 455pm, 5 min before opening and were the only people there. They were just opening the garage door but they made sure to great us immediately (we weren't waiting near but they knew why we were there) and told us to come on in. The service here is impeccable. They ask your name and actually use it. They have actual conversations with you, about whatever topic lands. We got so much great visitor information from each person working. Ending up having one of the best meals in Melbourne because of it. The space is really small, standing room only. And if you're there long enough, you can see a line forming outside. After our second drink, we didn't want to take up more space so we decided to head out, but we never felt forced or like we should leave. I could come here after work everyday and have a Spicy Ok! Locals from around the area would flock here after work to play pool, have a few drinks, listen to bad jukebox tunes, and eat No Names. For those who are unfamiliar with No Names, I feel sorry for you. The simple, no fuss meals were unbelievably delicious. The chicken parmigiana, topped with simple tomato sauce and cheese singles, and accompanied by a mixed leaf salad, was indescribably perfect considering its simplicity. But a few years ago, No Names disappeared, and so did the patrons. The Pine in is now a ghost town- I was seriously expecting a tumbleweed to roll by when I had lunch here yesterday. The Pine now offers a range of $10 meals and blackboard specials. I ordered the chicken parmigiana in an attempt to recreate the glory days of No Names. What arrived on my plate fifteen minutes later was a shambles. I thought they'd even forgotten the chicken, because all I could see was a mountain of cheap-tasting, bottled, tomato sauce. After a few minutes of digging I found a sad looking chicken fillet that seemed too pathetic to ingest. So there it sat, lonely and unloved, just like The Pine itself.

For our mains, we shared the pan fried gnocchi served in a delicious creamy truffle sauce and we almost put in a requst for some bread to mop up any sauce left behind because we loved it so much.
