I…read morerecently decided to hire Gulf Gunite for a pool installation, and I must say it was an incredibly disappointing experience with this contractor. Right from the beginning, I clearly communicated my desire for a larger pool. Despite following up several times, I was met with a series of excuses. At one point, the owner's wife even mentioned the possibility of making it bigger on the day of digging if I still found it too small. However, when the time came, the owner informed me that it was too late to make any changes and that I should have raised my concerns earlier. It was frustrating to see such a lack of coordination between the owner and his wife, especially considering the numerous times I had reached out about this. I have text messages to support this, as well as dates and time stamps, to verify the accuracy of every statement I've made. To add to the frustration, the owner informed me that I needed additional dirt for a concrete pad I was adding. I explicitly requested that the dirt be left on my property, and he agreed, but later removed it and sold it without my consent. This put me in a difficult position, as I had to purchase dirt to complete my project. As if that wasn't enough, during the excavation process, they damaged my sewer line. When I raised this issue with them, they denied any responsibility and refused to rectify the situation. Their response was, "we are not liable for hidden utilities". And they blamed it on the person who poured a concrete pad nowhere close to where the sewer line came into my home. I sought the opinion of two different plumbers and the city of Gulfport, all of whom confirmed that the pool company was responsible for the damage, yet they continue to evade accountability. The repair cost me 5K. Throughout the entire ordeal, both the owner and his wife proved to be extremely challenging to deal with. They were consistently impolite and patronizing, which only added to my frustration. They hurried through the process, pressuring me for days to choose a different tile when the one I wanted was unavailable. I now strongly suspect that they were hoping to finish the job before the sewer issue arose and I discovered their mistake. I am willing to wager that the dirt was not left on my property for this very reason, as it would have revealed the damaged sewer line. This entire experience has been a nightmare, and I strongly recommend that anyone considering Gulf Gunite should explore other options. Spare yourself the hassle and headache and opt for a company that prioritizes communication and customer service. I can assure you if you hire these people, and your even slightly dissatisfied with any part of it, they will not only blame you and make up absurd accusations against you, accuse you of trying to damage their reputation, and everything else they think of to make you out to be the bad guy, they absolutely will not take any accountability for ANY of their actions! AT ALL.

Initially, I gave Lee swimming pools a very poor rating. After being contacted by Joel (the owner) after my review. Joel came out and made everything right. Being in business myself, I understand that sometimes associates or employees don't always make the right call. It happens. This was the case in my situation. Joel personally came out and rectified my problem. He also offered to give me my money back, which I did not accept. My only goal was to get the work completed that I had paid for. Joel seems like a standup guy, and cares very much about the quality provided by his business. Very sorry that I had not amended this sooner.

Being Friday, December 29th, I was unsure if we would have any hot water for the long holiday weekend. After contacting three other companies and being told that Wednesday was the soonest someone could make it (one company even said they could "pencil me in for the first week of February") I was able to contact A&B at 3:00pm. Not only did they send Brandon out that afternoon, he was able to get into the unit and find that the igniter was dirty and just needed cleaning. While some people would have seen this as an opportunity to upsell a new control system or even a whole new water heater, he was able to make the repair with no new parts. I must say that this was well worth the $140 cost of a service call! A&B are my new go-to company for plumbing repairs.
