I really appreciate the direct accountability and quick resolution. I'm leaving my original review below for transparency, but their prompt response today restored my confidence in their management. I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Buyer beware: the installation team does good work, but do not trust a word management says about referral incentives or post-sale promises. Still waiting for my $500.

The system, as far as we can tell, runs great. The best thing about Aharon is that he really listens to your concerns and tries to answer all your questions. He makes you feel that you are really having a custom installation done. In our case, we had him place the panels in an alternate location from his original plan since golf balls often hit the side of our house and roof, as we live on a fairway. Everything was perfect. We are happy we chose Codella Solar and Aharon.

It's 4 year in a row now the system failed to produce the minimum guaranteed production. AWS Solar chose to compensate for the shortfall again; we'll see what the 5th year production looks like. I suggested replacing some of the panels with the higher power ones to solve the issue, but I guess they want to see more data.

However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.

I swear Dean is the most patient (no pressure) sales guy I've ever met. Yo say he is thorough is an understatement. He carefully looks at all information available from the types of systems to the pros and cons of each and tailors them to the individual's requirements. The best part is he doesn't oversell you on things you don't need. In my case I wanted a system to eventually be ready for an electric car. Dean wisely advised not to buy the extra pieces now when they would be of no value to me, but ensured my system would be ready for upgrades when I was ready. Since our initial install we have upgraded our system on 3 occasions, each time carefully planned out to maximize the value of the equipment and to get the best bang for the buck. In short if I could give 10 stars I would. If you are interested in learning about solar give them a call. You won't be sorry.

Guess what, 6 months later, that new door cracked. They will not replace the door so I have to live with a cracked door since they told me it is past warranty. their solution...pay another $1500 to install a fiberglass door as a replacement. Looking deeper into the quote, it's talking about terracota tile and grout...we never spoke about that, we spoke what I already have downstairs, which is laminate. They even stated, that's a manufactured piece we can't get anymore but we can get something close to match. Don't always believe Yelp reviews, but I'd believe this one.

But when we needed to change out an old bathroom vanity for a new one, we knew we had to get serious about it. And if you hire a plumber to do the work, which DOES involve some plumbing, then it costs way more. I resigned myself to the search and literally just contacted the most popular handyman service in my town based on Yelp reviews. Guess what? thank goodness I did! 805's Handyman (NOT to be confused with "805 Handyman") responded right away--even though it was a Sunday and the World Cup games were on. I uploaded pics, sent in the details, got an estimate, and made an appointment. On the day of, a nice truck drove up with the logo painted proudly on the side (not a guy in a fancy sports car, like handyman #9). Two sturdy guys came in and got down to business right away--no fuss, all smiles, and dare I say it? Like they loved what they do. (Unlike handyman #7 who was a former engineer and complained the whole time, even refusing to do some tasks!) Long story shorter, the bathroom vanity switcheroo turned out to be bigger and messier project than expected. It ended up involving some retiling, grouting, electrical adjustments, alterations to trim, painting--and the plumbing bits and installation and removal. The workers were quiet, helpful, communicated the whole time and were just generally old-school excellent (unlike handyman #4, who was nice, but got everything crooked and a bit wonky, bless his heart). The 805's Handyman workers did ALL the plumbing/installing/electrical/tile work/painting--the whole shebang. And the end result is a sweet transformation for our upstairs bath (I also asked them to take care of a few more items on my to-do list, which they did quickly and again, with smiles). The whole thing was very gratifying. So much so, that the next time something in our house needs fixing, I will actually look forward to hiring 805's Handyman again. We're lucky to have them in the Ventura area and they are popular on Yelp for very good reasons.

I communicated with them through yelp and then we took to contact by phone/text. They were super communicative and prompt on setting up a date for repairs. They worked around my schedule which was appreciated and followed through without issue. I had them work on an outdoor electrical/lighting fixtures and Patrick did it with ease. He came with all his supplies and was prepared, he swapped out my old, ugly lighting fixtures and put in the new ones no issue. He was careful but prompt with getting this task complete. Very nice guy and someone you could trust and who did a honest thorough job. Aside from doing great work and being professional, the price point was also very reasonable compared to ten other quotes I got (yes, I do my research). They are affordable, professional and most importantly they did a great job. Even my neighbors watching from the outside were impressed and came over to take some business cards. I know I'll be locking them in for some more appointments and repairs in the near future. Great work and happy to have a trustworthy handyman in the area.

Hello All, we recently had our roof replaced by Neri and his crew of HighTide Roofing (aka the surfer) and they were fantastic. All of his employees were very personable and friendly, did a great job and I even had fun bantering with Neri; him and I were Tom & Jerry - sort of. Our house was built in the 50's and when the roof was last replaced in 1994 they just put underlay and shingles over the original 1" x 6" boards so some of the nails went between the boards; in the garage you could see holes in the underlay. We talked to several roofing companies, but none except HighTide were prepared to remove our 18 solar panels and reinstall them afterwards themselves; even solar companies were not interested unless you are buying new panels. Neri was by far the most informative, helpful, explained everything, probably spent an hour with me and gave me the most, detailed quote of any of the other companies and also kicked me to the curb, but in a positive and much needed way - plywood!!! Ouch that hurt, we needed to have 66 sheets installed, plus quite a few of the old 1" x 6" boards needed sections and knot holes cut out and replaced, again one look up in the garage and it looked pretty bad in areas. We could have gone cheap and just shingled over which is legal in Cal., but with 18 solar panels only secured to old, crappy boards and planning to sell in a few years it was time to bite the bullet - plywood. To be fair to Neri, he was competitive with the roof estimate, offered quality Solaris shingles, good underlay material, 1/2" plywood (which is expensive like everything now) and 4 flat Hagen style vents, new fascia and even reinstalled our Velux opening vent window (against his better judgement) on the slope; he told me it was designed for flat roofs only. I insisted, I'm the customer - ha ha - thank you Neri and he helped me reinstall the tv antenna on the roof, we get 42 channels via our Tablo. Obviously, if you already have plywood and don't have solar panels it will be considerably less costly for you to have your roof replaced, but I highly recommend installing plywood, especially in the long run. On a final note, we have an addition off the garage back wall, so we have a 'M' shaped roof, the 'v' part is called the cricket - 9 of our panels were in the cricket and back slope. Neri 'the Solar Expert' suggested moving 10 panels to the front garage slope as a large tree in the back blocked the afternoon sun to those panels. Thanks again Neri, even though our panels are older 250's from circa 2010-2012 in the new location we are getting about 35% more electricity to sell back to good old Edison; sticking it to the man, they give us $$$ every year - ha ha. Sorry to be a bit lengthy, but it's all good info which I hope will make you more knowledgeable when it's time to have your roof replaced by Neri and his professional crew at HighTide Roofing. Plus Neri was there working every day up on the roof; the owner himself with Jesus did the majority of the work over 9 days, I was very impressed, it isn't a big house, but we live on a slight hill so the south slope is steep and scary. I can't say enough nice things about Neri and his men, its a big investment and you get concerned over the expense, but it's the best money you can spend on your house for great, quality workmanship. I would like to highly recommend Pool Solar and Roofing for solar pool installation. We are very happy with the installation as well as the service provided by the company. Neri Baldez was extremely professional and responsive to all of our concerns and questions throughout the installation process. He was very responsive to our needs and the requirements to run the solar most efficiently. At the end of the summer season, Neri comes out to drain the panels and shut off the system. The following spring he comes back to turn the system on and makes sure it is operating properly. We are very happy with the way things worked out. Neri goes above and beyond for customer service and great quality work. I called him at 8pm on July 4 because our Pool Solar was leaking like crazy, and this was not even his installation. Got a callback just minutes later to stop it and he showed up the next day to fix it all. Not only did he fix the leaks he also figured out quite a misconfiguration of the pool pumps saving me $$ on energy as well as increasing the system lifetime. I then had him extend our existing PV system substantially. He explained everything in great detail so I could easily understand and the quote was a really good price. His crew installed it in a single day and you can tell these guys take a lot of pride in their work, which was excellent! Great experience. I wanted to wait a little while before writing a review...to make sure everything worked well. So far so good. Neri was very helpful in recommending the best solution for our home. Very knowledgable and experienced. And we're seeing amazing results so far. It's SOOO nice to be able to just spontaneously decide to use the pool rather than having to plan the day before (took long to get the temperature up without solar). Can't wait for the summer. We had to spend a little extra on a pump and filter, but that's more the nature of our pool setup. Even with the extra expense for the pump and filter, I think it'll pay for itself in 2-3 years. read more

After 35 years it was time for roof recover! I called Neri and he came out exactly when he stated, gave me a quote and stuck exactly to that - very good value. The best part is his (and his team's) attention to detail. My installation was certainly unique but their methods of installation were top-notch. I have very high confidence that I will never have an issue within my lifetime! We will pursue other avenues. In the past he had done good work. It is rare that I post a one star review but this was egregious in our opinion, especially after being loyal customers. We had to get a new roof with another company.

We purchased a 100+year old home that needed some serious work. The roof had 6 layers on it, and…read morethe cedar shakes on two sides of the house were paper thin. We got quotes from several roofing companies to replace the roof and re-side half of the house, including from several A-rated Angie's List companies. Precision came in with a fairly detailed bid, and also a higher-than-average price. We met with Michael a few times and were convinced by his professionalism and treatment of his employees that Precision would be the right company for the job. Turns out we were 100% correct. They did an excellent job, dealing with all kinds of problems along the way without a hitch. They were meticulous in their construction and the finished product looks fantastic. In retrospect, given the quality of their work, the slightly higher price was a total bargain. We were glad to pay it. We've had multiple people comment on the quality of the craftsmanship. Their warranty is also top-notch, and considerably longer than that of their competitors. We intend to use them again if we ever have any additional roofing needs. Can't recommend them highly enough. If I had to nitpick, one issue was timing -- they had to move the start date a few times to account for unexpected delays at another project they were working on.

We got Adam's information from a contact we know…read more Not that long ago we noticed there was potential water damage from the storms in multiple rooms. We had initially contacted another roofing company. They came and "assessed" the roof. Also put a tarp over the "area" that was damaged since we knew multiple storms were coming. After multiple attempts to contact them they essentially ghosted us. We contacted Adam and he came next day to give see the area and give us a quote. Turned out the initial area that was covered wasn't the problem area. Luckily part of the tarp did cover the issue. We liked the quote he gave us and honestly we just wanted to get this issue resolved. Came next to work on it which we really appreciated it.
