They stock some great gifts for any adult, especially ones for special birthdays, like 40th, 18th, etc. Plus they have plenty of funny silly stuff you could give almost anyone with a sense of humour, plenty of drinking stuff like stands, mugs, etc. The walls are filled pretty much with limited edition prints of various descriptions. They have sport and plenty of music related ones. They are really good and quite well priced for what they are. They also have some great novelty stuff, especially the novelty phones they stock. They also have games, novelty t-shirts, some jewellery, watches and more. You need to go look. Most of their items are adult based items, although some just funny whilst others may be a little naughty. But all great fun!

While not as big as Dillon's Newsagent just across the mall (near Coles), they stock all the usual suspects. If you're after your Vogue or Elle or Frankie or other big titles you will find in on their shelves. I couldn't see many overseas titles. I've found the staff to be pretty chatty and kinda funny. Last time I went in to get Harper's (with the winner of ANTM on the cover) for a friend overseas, I ended up chatting to the guy about Australia's Next Top Model for ages...which I don't actually watch, but I winged it pretty well! Good for your basics!

Or maybe it's just really good marketing, people come out of food shopping with the kids and think "man, after that I reallllly need a beer" so they decide to take a short cut through the newsagency and along the way they decide "man, I really need a pen too". You never know. There are books available here too, last time I visited I spent a good 10 minutes leafing through a book about the life and designs of Coco Chanel, of course I didn't buy it because it was $50, besides, I'd already read it hadn't I? If I need a pen I just go in and use one and then leave, they should really monitor people like me! But, considering these guys don't, that makes them 3 stars in my book! There are little gifty things available too, take a squiz on your way through to the bottle shop.

The coffee needs a special mention because it's really great! Cakes, slices and scones are all homemade and wholesome but the best thing about Mockingbird Lounge is the 5 (yes 5!) rooms of second hand books and heaps of cosy corners to loose yourself in. Well not even Cheap As Chips can do merch at $2 anymore and these guys had to have a point of difference right? Oh yes and I should also pre-warn you the name of this store is incredibly deceiving...unless you consider tupperware, nail polish, baskets, costumes and bath sponges as fashion items this place does not live up to its name. The other deception? Not EVERYTHING in the store is $2.80. Luckily when I walked in I walked into the left hand side of the store (which is the $2.80 part of the store). The right hand side of the store has any product costing above $2.80 in it! So if you are looking for kawaii costumes and random storage crap and beauty related items that you can't read the ingredients of then this place is for you. Just keep in mind the tips to getting around Kawaii so you don't get caught out when in store!

One half of this store is devoted to a wide range of these products - though there is often a high mark up - the other stocks a wide range of bargain knick knacks, each selling for $2.80. (The $2.80 side is much like a mini version of Japanese discount chain Daiso!) Customer service is hit and miss - sometimes it's terrible but the last time I was there the sales assistant was extremely helpful! An interesting store worth checking out at least once, even if you're not into this kind of stuff!

Lending a whisical, dreamy and romantic ambience, this delightful giftstore has now become my favourite place to shop. I picked up a chocolate shaped teaspoon for my sister, to enjoy her daily delightful treats and a heady mix of jasmine and vanilla scented sachet to intoxicate my drawers. Cream bird cages and black framed Eiffel Towers lay outside the store for all to gaze and fall in love with. They are magnifique and will add much charm and character to any dull room. You'll find inspirational journals here, stunning jewellery holders, printed tea towels, linens, accessories, home decor and just about anything that would appeal to us women. Pink, subtle and with a lacey bow, just the way we like it!

There are so many items in here and definitely not big shoulder bag territory, otherwise it'll be a very expensive visit. It never ceases to amaze me the amount of financial investment businesses such as this one make on their stock and when is it considered to be too much stock. A blend of folk art items to shabby chic, decorative outdoor wire love seats - which are going to be really hot stuff left in the sun!

Oh there are plenty of other things, but it's all about the stuffed animal toys that are sort of related to "Hello Kitty" but not quite HK brand. You can get little tiny ones, medium sized ones and very large ones... and they are all cuddly and filled with love. Well probably they're filled with something far more hygienic than actual love, like cotton or wool, but the idea is that they bring you love. There are pens and cards and plastic gifts and a variety of items to purchase in the shop but it really is about the stuffed toys and the little booths where you can have your photo taken and immediately printed out on stickers! Very Korean! Very fun! I use it to find little gifts for the youngsters in the family because everyone of a certain age loves a smiling bit of plastic or a stuffed toy, even if it's the size of an egg.

Call me childish, but the name 'Morning Glory' makes me giggle…read more This is like one of those crazy cuddly Japanese stores only its Korean. It's very pink and girly and fluffy, when I walked into this store I felt about 12 years old again! hearts and flowers and clouds as far as the eye can see! not to mention the hoards of novelty printed stationary and pencil toppers. And stuffed toys, your normal teddy bear type and the bug eyed doll kind too. You can get your photo taken in their sticker booth. Basically you step in there (it's like a passport booth), pay about $7 and pose for about 5 shots which are then processed onto stickers! so remember to get your peace sign ready guys! I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with the stickers after that though. My favourite pastime in this store is musing over the little plastic figurines lining the shelves, you know, wondering what their purpose actually is and why the bunny rabbit figurine also has ears AND antennae. Good fun!
