This is my first time back to Popeyes in about a year. I had bad service previously that made me stop going. I thought why not give it a try today and I'm really glad I did. We ordered in the app because the lobby was closed. The employee was very rude and cussed at me in the drive thru. They did not have over half of my order. They made rude comments about why we were ordering so late even though they were still open for an hour and a half. After he cussed at me again, we pulled off because they didn't have what I paid for and their attitudes were horrible. I was worried they would mess with my food at that point. Service is terrible!!! I pulled into the drive thru at 7pm on a Friday night and noticed there was an empty parking lot and nobody in the drive thru. I was greeted with "I'm gonna need a minute." I waited for at least 5 minutes and then the guy gets back on the speaker and said "I'm ready for your order but I'm only accepting exact change, credit or debit and if so I'll take your order." Seriously?! What a pleasant way to greet customers. I ordered a 12pc meal and he then he says " it's going to be a long wait because we just had a big group." When I asked how long of a wait he said 25-30 mins. Literally all they make here is chicken... and you don't have chicken prepared for a Friday night?! Food at its best is really good, but on average it is just that. Chicken sandwich is in theory the best, but rarely lives up to its potential. The service is terrible...inattentive at best, they don't care about anything related to their work except what time they get off. Popeye's restaurant has definitely gone down! There are not enough words to describe. Food unavailable, short staffed and nonexistent customer service. This is my second time coming to the Popeyes in Moline and it will be my last. Both times I've gone through the drive-thru and been told that they will bring my food out to me and asked me to go around and park in front. The first time I waited more than 20 minutes and this time I waited I didn't order anything special or unusual either time. This is completely unacceptable. I was given no warning that it would take more than a few minutes and anything more than 5 minutes at a fast food restaurant is completely unacceptable. Started in the drive thru, but no one answered, nothing lit up... thought yesterday might be closed. So we drove up to the front and went in. Boxes sitting on the counters, like they just didn't get things put away. Told right away they were out of tenders and nuggets but had chicken and sandwiches. Ordered two spicy sandwiches and fries. Guy in back yells across the store, you gonna wait 8 minutes for patties. So we take a seat. 5 minutes later an older couple comes in, orders tenders and funny, they got em now. Learned they were also out of Cole slaw and tea. She gets her food after a few minutes and leaves. 15 minutes later we're still waiting. 23 minutes later we get told few more minutes, they are dropping fries. 25 minutes later we are leaving with COLD chicken sandwiches and fries.
