Long John Silver's - A&W was decent overall. The atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect from a fast-food seafood spot. The staff was friendly, but the service was very slow--my order took over 20 minutes after I placed it. I ordered the popcorn shrimp and hushpuppies; the food was alright and met expectations. I went to Long John Silver's with my wife and, unfortunately, we both ended up with a mild case of food poisoning and some pretty rough diarrhea afterward. That said, the food itself was honestly delicious, and the service was great--friendly, quick, and welcoming. The ambience oddly reminded me of my dad being discharged from the navy, which was both nostalgic and warm. While our stomachs paid the price later, the experience in the moment was solid. The kiosk is not user friendly! We forgot our drinks and had get back in line. Everyone at kiosk very confused.

The food was fresh and tasted good, but unequal portions. I ordered 2 #7meals (1fish,2 chicken). Both the same meal but one meal the chicken portions look like they were for a kids meal. I ordered through the takeout window so I didn't discover this until I got home. Never again! I am done LJS! And what makes this worse it was almost $26.00...SMH. read more

We have enjoyed Long John Silvers food for many years. We visited the site at South Park Mall. They now have kiosk ordering and we found the site to be so confusing we left without completing our order. Sorry-we won't be going back. Not a fan of kiosk ordering with no guidance from an employee. read more

When I arrived at home with my food, I was so disappointed! My husband doesn't like their food so I don't get to have it very often. So I was really looking forward to have their chicken planks with fries, slaw and hush puppies! But there was no slaw in the bag and the chicken planks were so horrible I threw it away. The meat tasted like it was really old and had some really hard spots in it. I sadly will have to say I will NEVER go back again! read more

We're were going to eat here today, but couldn't. Both front doors were locked and the dinning room was dark. That was at 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday and the hours on the door say they open at 10:30 a.m. Drive-thru was open, but that's not what we wanted, nor would that have worked today. We were looking for dine-in. We watched a number of others come and go doing the same thing. Some of them were making there way up to the doors with walkers and canes, only to find the dinning room was closed. It would have sure been nice to put a sign or two here and there. After we went to the mall and went by later we saw the same thing still going on. People walking up to the locked doors and leaving. Not sure how much business they lost. I didn't see any of these people then go through drive-thru. They just left. We ate elsewhere for lunch. read more

(NOTE: Due to COVID-19, all interior atmosphere review is not included, this was a drive-thru order) I will say, I am writing this 19 years into my life and had yet to try Long John Silvers. I figured something had to have been keeping me away for so long, however I truly believe that it may have been out of straight fear of the unknown. Having no opinions to go off of and some research, I decided to just go with the classic fish sandwich and hushpuppies. In terms of drinks, it didn't seem like they had any signatures, so luckily I was able to order a milkshake of the attached A&W menu. When receiving my food, all of the items were in A&W bags. Interesting. The initial bites of my fish sandwich caught me by surprise. A nice, crispy outer edge of the fish paired nicely with the pickle, mayo, and brioche breading. However, once I reached the 60% mark of my fish sandwich, the ratio of mayo to actual food substance was blown up. I was drowning in mayo and lost feeling of the texture of my sandwich experience. I tossed the last few bites and called that one a day. Now onto the hushpuppies. These I were surprisingly delighted with. They had a great crunch that still presented the right amount of flavor without being overbearing. In the end, it is fried bread, so how difficult is it really? At the end of the day, it's Long John Silvers. There's a reason I did not go my entire life, and honestly not sure if I'll ever go back again. Honestly, I'm just happy I got it over with. read more

In regard to LJS-Moline location: We had been regular customers until this recent visit. Along with the dinners, we requested 2 kid sized drinks and the arrogant, snotty manager said..."I have no way to accommodate kid sized drinks, we no longer serve them." She was really unfriendly and terse! Well, we weren't about buy two 20 oz. drinks for a 5 year old and a 7 year old. We will NOT patronize LJS. We went elsewhere for dinner. LJS is now crossed OFF our list. read more

I went over there again about a week ago, again just EXCELLENT service, fresh, hot food, my order was correct. Great employees, they care about their customers and store and it shows. This place is a keeper, well run, thank you :-) I'll keep coming back. read more

What can I say growing up as a child you would go to Long John Silver's and my experience is just as I remembered it I love the little Crunchies that you get with the fish I know it's fast food but to be honest Long John Silver's has some of the best fish even in comparison to some of the bigger more fancier establishments read more

I really love to go into Long John Silver's because I love their food and their service is very good, tonight I was having stuff going on and I guess you could see on my face that I wasn't having the best night when I went to go get food here, I got great service and right before I was going to go with the girl offered me a free ice cream cone, and when I asked why she said because she can tell I'm having a bad night and it looks like I need it, that made my night 100% and I was very happy that she did that. I would tell anyone to go here that they are very great service. read more
