Visited the Spa on a Hen Spa Day for my niece. There was a wedding and this seemed to affect our visit
Despite being told a few days before that robes would be available for her guests and that the wedding would make no difference, it did. Not a robe to be found. The wedding guests were using them all. Now I know a wedding brings in a lot more revenue than a spa day but surely someone could work out numbers especially as she was assured they had sufficient.
The two ladies who did the neck and back massage in the morning and nails in the afternoon were fantastic. There were 10 of us and they were cheeful and professional, chatting and joking with us.
The same could not said of the receptionist at the Spa. Welcoming she was not and although it was a Spa reception and therefore more relaxed, her attire could have been better. Some of the ladies tried out the pool, etc, and found it good and they had fun.
Lunch was good with a nice glass of red wine. However, when we asked for the coleslaw which should have been included, we were told, in not the nicest way, it was not part of the meal. We assured her it was we were then told we would have to wait as she was checking something. We were eventually grudgingly give 3 plates of coleslaw between six of us. Not good at all.
It then became obvious that they wished us to move. As some of us were finishing our drinks we ignored them. Next, they asked if we would like coffee. Consistency obviously was not on the menu!!
We returned to the Spa and enjoyed the rest of the day having our nails done and chatting with a glass of wine in hand.
We enjoyed ourselves, despite the above but not sure it was worth the price or whether I will return. read more
