Learned that the business has been there since the 1960s and was across the street from the 1940s until they moved there. Two third generation barbers just doing what they do best. I received a single layer in my hair and it's very bad, not blended at all. I wasn't offered a mirror to see what it looked like either. The haircut took a very short time, it seemed very rushed. Then when I got home and checked to see what it looked like, I was shocked. Edit: Now I have Jarod telling me it must not have happened there because she always will wet the hair. I did not go alone and they can confirm my hair was never sprayed once, it was just combed back and she started cutting.

The local barber gave him a combover which has never been his look and he was completely distraught by it. A quick trip to Alena and she shortened the feathery top to remove the combover, and shortened the sides to give him the appearance of more hair. I was impressed by her skill and strategy: she understands how to work with a hair challenge instead of awkwardly covering it up. She knows mens' haircuts and really should have been our first stop. So glad she was there to help: my partner left looking great and also so relieved that he has been "saved" by her skills!
