    Mint ice cream sandwich

This place has great food and excellent service! I highly recommend this place! It has a great mix of good and cocktails. I was happy I stumbled upon this excellent bbq Restuarant. I ordered the "La Guacamaya" torta and it had a great combo of pulled pork and avocado and for dessert the Mint Ice cream sandwich! I will be back for more! Ps. I ate the La Guacamaya sandwich too fast to take a picture but here is a picture of the ice cream sandwich!

I came with rather low expectations. I mean, most US cities outside of the south have terrible bbq. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this joint. My boyfriend and I ordered 250g of ribs (St Louis style), 250g of brisket, and 250g of pulled pork. Also, we got a few sides: mac and cheese, blooming onion, and baked beans. Additionally, we ordered a Modelo Negro and té helado (iced tea). First, the ribs had a great flavor. Good smoke. Some bark. However, they were barely room temperature. If they were warm, they would be very good. Second, the brisket was fine. It had a good smokey flavor but it was somewhat dry. The bbq sauce was really good though, so that helped a lot. Third, the pulled pork was terrible. It was dry and had a very odd flavor. It's the cheapest, but I don't recommend it. Lastly, the sides. Mac and cheese was great. Good combination of cream and clump. Good flavor. The onion was super flavorful. It had great seasoning and the dipping sauce was the perfect compliment. My only negative comment about the onion is that it was pretty small. The baked beans came with chopped jalapenos, sliced green olives, chopped red onions, shredded cheese, and sour cream. So, it was basically chili. The beans on their own are bad, but it was good with all of the toppings. Overall, I really liked this place. They got a lot of things right. Also, the atmosphere is cool. They have a bunch of picnic tables on a covered patio area and you walk up to counter to order. If you want bbq in DF, check it out.

This place is amazing! It has outdoor seating and great ribs!! I think the hidden gem is the fried onion that opens like a flower!! I love it! Also, when is a fried oreo a bad thing?!?! Personally I prefer the Baby Back ribs as they are smaller so more tender and a bit more sweet, but many of my friends say there is more meat on the other type... It's up to you , both are amazing! My friends love to bring their dogs, and the picnic tables leave plenty of space for big parties!

If you're a western expat looking for a BBQ place, this spot will definitely hit the spot! This is not a place for veggie lovers, let me warn you. The menu is packed with meat, sandwiches and sides. They also offer beer and other drinks. The indoor-outdoor seating area features benches with a couple of umbrellas, and if you pay close attention there are veggies and herbs grown by the staff. They also have a rooftop little garden. The first time I was there I had the smoky sausage sandwich with fries - I was in-loved! It is packed with flavor no to mention the chips which had a very crispy coding to them. My second time I had a chicken sandwich and my partner had one of the meat plates and I'm sorry to say that both were quite dry however, the flavor was there. We also tried the deep fried broccoli which was amazing! And the mac' cheese was quite tasty. Go with an open-mind and ready to try new flavors and you'll walk away with a happy belly.

Overall, you have to love how an establishment adds a little bounce into your step and on this day it certainly did. This sounds kind of minuscule but it seemed to make it all worth it. Amid this juicy sandwich dripping with just the right seasoning in its BBQ sauce, yes, in fact, that is right, Johnny Cash. Mouthwatering, wide selection, open air seating, awesome atmosphere.

Amazing pork and all the fixings. This is a must if you want a really good neighborhood Special place

This restaurant was just a short walk from my hotel in Roma Norte-along the walk I think I counted 4 or 5 Michelin rated restaurants on my path-they are everywhere in Mexico City. When we arrived at the restaurant they seated us right away and I noticed how great the atmosphere was in the restaurant-this was for sure a date night or celebratory type of place-I wouldn't say fancy or upscale but definitely a step up from my restaurants I went to so far in Mexico City. Upon sitting down we started with a couple of really pretty cocktails-. Strawberry Fields-A gin drink that is a refreshing twist on a Negroni-I enjoyed it very much and may have been the best cocktail I had in Mexico City.($185.00) Margarita De Perlas-a tequila drink with lime and orange infusion topped with pearls of tapioca-It was a great spin on a margarita with the added slightly sweet taste of tapioca pearls-decent drink.($220.00) For dinner we ordered a few items. Bowie Burger-a burger featuring a top sirloin and wagyu cross patty topped with Swiss cheese, roasted poblanos, bacon, guacamole and tortilla chips-This burger was so delicious-perfectly cooked and seasoned,so juicy-it was spicy but incredibly flavorful -loved it.($275.00) Curly Fries-Perfectly seasoned, super crunchy-very tasty ($85.00) Caesar Salad-well made salad with great tasting dressing and crunchy croutons.($130.00) This place is a very special restaurant in a city that is filled with special restaurants-I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mexico City, specifically the Roma Norte neighborhood-a true joy.

The American Legion Post #2 in Mexico, established in 1920, has been located since the early 1960s in an ornate early 20th-century building at 25 Celaya, Condesa. After World War I, over 70,000 combat veterans moved to Mexico City to start a new life and escape the pains of war. Seventeen of these veterans decided to form the American Legion in Mexico City, as shown in the enclosed photo. Eventually, they settled on a building which used to be a brothel. Visit the second floor and terrace to see the rooms frequented by the Johns. It is not clear what connection these veterans had to the brothel, which was nicknamed "Lover's Roost."

It started with ubereats and getting my torta delivered with it on the side in small amount and not dipped as it is done in. I have the WhatsApp of the owner so I asked. Indeed the medium and hot cannot be dipped for a delivery because of the ingredients of the sauce. So I decided to take my sister and dine in so we could get a real experience of the sauce and meat. We got the tortas with side on side...and again small tiny cup and big torta. WTF? We complained and literally the last told us it was inside the fried chicken. It wasn't but we didn't want to be the angry gringos so we ate and left. But it still happens. Eat in. Dine out. Delivery. Sweet owner. Genuinely excited to have a good bbq fries chicken in cdmx. Never going again cause I have a WhatsApp history of promises to fix it and still no solution. Nunca más. It's a shame cause when prepared as it should be it is awesome. Sad.
