Aside from stocking up on quality lean buffalo, this place is a great destination to bring the kids. There is a petting zoo and corn maze. The best time to come is probably late summer-fall. The gift shop is perfect for finding a trinket or two for the kids for the ride home. And when the corn maze is open the restaurant is also open. This is actually more of a "snack bar" type of place - a grill where you can order buffalo burgers or other kid friendly foods. If you are looking for a polished more diner-like establishment you won't find it here. Again, if you are in the area for with the kids, they will surely enjoy a burger and fries or snack after running through the maze. This is also more of the old-fashioned, well worn kind of non-decor location. Even so, I have fun enjoying a burger and stocking my freezer. Four stars for the buffalo meat alone (on the pricey side but excellent). If you took that away I would give 2 stars.

If you know the owners (retired from farming), or if you are down on your luck, they would probably offer to let you pick some food for free (like apples or blueberries ). I also understand that they work on the barter system for the general public. They no longer offer public hours, but if you call 814-967-4423, and leave a message (they don't answer the phone anymore to screen spam calls), you might be able to schedule an appointment to visit. I didn't realize how many pumpkins were in existence as there are more pumpkin here than there are fire ants currently infesting my underwear drawer. Too many good obstacle courses and activities to choose from, and you can't beat the complimentary hay ride for the pumpkin patch.

The 12$ tour included education on reindeer and feeding cookies and petting and pictures. They have Santa come visit at 5pm today. On top of that they have free hot cocoa and popcorn for tours. The little souvenir shop was darling too! I never knew how much the horns could weigh until I held some that had fallen off. Really cool farm and kind staff. In addition to maple syrup, the store also has honey, other maple products, and more. This year they were also selling homemade maple ice cream, maple hot dogs, and maple donuts outside.
