This is the best zoo ever!…read more When you buy your tickets, you have the option to purchase a feed bucket for $10. I highly recommend getting one! There are also feeding machines where you can get a small amount of food for a quarter, but some of them don't work very well. The bucket was full of food and even included a token that you can give to a staff member in exchange for lettuce to feed the giraffes. It might sound a little expensive, but it will make your day so much more fun, and it's definitely worth it! You get plenty of food to feed the animals. Since you have food to offer them, the animals come right up to you, so you can see them up close. That usually doesn't happen at a regular zoo! There are also plenty of picnic tables where you can sit, relax, and have lunch. I would definitely come back here again!

1 STAR -- Absolutely Horrible Conditions…read more This place was extremely disappointing and honestly heartbreaking. The animals did not appear to be properly cared for at all. The emu was confined to a tiny pen between two buildings, which was especially sad to see. The kangaroos and alpacas were also kept in very small, cramped enclosures. Several animals had dirty water, and the overall conditions made it seem like the animals' basic needs were not being prioritized. The lobby smelled strongly of cat urine and was extremely unpleasant. The cleanliness of the facility was unacceptable. The pony ride was also incredibly disappointing. We paid for a pony ride and got one lap around a tiny area. We were then charged separately for food to feed the animals. What bothered me most is that this is a business making money from these animals, yet the animals we saw did not appear to be receiving the care, space, cleanliness, or conditions they deserve. These are living animals, not attractions to be squeezed into tiny pens just to generate money. I left feeling genuinely sad and angry for the animals. They deserve so much better. I would absolutely not recommend this place. The conditions we witnessed need to be addressed, and the welfare of the animals should come before making money from them.

Animals include lions, tigers, bears, turtles, goats, horses, cougars, leopards, servals, foxes, macaques, etcetera. The sanctuary relies on admission fees and charitable donations to provide housing, food, and veterinary care for these animals. Hours vary by season, and admission prices vary by people's age. Currently, the admission price is $15 per adult, and children cost less. Food such as crackers can be purchased in the gift shop and fed to some animals. The website contains a wish list of many items that people can donate. I visited this sanctuary on a Monday afternoon. Most of the animals' enclosures were fairly spacious. I saw an emu who had deformed legs, horses who could not see, a deer who had cancerous tumors, and so on. I feel happy to know that these animals have a home to live out the rest of their lives, and I encourage other people to visit and financially support this sanctuary.

They have a blind cat that wonders the store (it does scratch but will brush up against your leg. Prices are reasonable 10 for adults 7 for kids You walk out into the yard and are greeted by bunnies and fish and swans and live stock all friendly! Then comes the menagerie of wild animals. The whole grounds do go quickly, but I guarantee you'll have fun! Some of the fenced areas have some undergrowth that makes seeing animals hard (I was a little upset about that) bc you want to be able to see them but the brambles and upgrowth makes it hard. Wild beasties are gorgeous and vocal and fun to watch weather they are rolling in the grass or taking a dip in their pools. It's my birthday and I literally had a day and experience I'll always treasure!

I didn't realize how many pumpkins were in existence as there are more pumpkin here than there are fire ants currently infesting my underwear drawer. Too many good obstacle courses and activities to choose from, and you can't beat the complimentary hay ride for the pumpkin patch.
