I wanted to take them to other Chinese places that aren't the typical well known places (Kum Koon, Sun Fortune, etc), but are still solid. I settled for this place since my mom's friend recommended me this place when I moved here 3 years ago. While they have a lunch buffet here, I was here for dinner. They have combination plates for those unsure of what to pick, but we ordered off the individual listing menu. Their crab meat fish maw soup was a pretty good soup. Not on the take out menu as it's a dine in option only. Free range chicken was decent but lacked meat a bit. We also had a stir fry beef dish that was very good, and a stir fried three-kind seafood dish that was about what I expected. What they lack here are fish options, as all of them were deep fried and not of the fresh variety. Their dessert was a sago soup dish, which is one of my favourites. However theirs came out a bit lukewarm instead of hot. Contrary to most comments here, I found service to be quite good. It's certainly not the top tier of Chinese restaurants I'd say in Winnipeg, but the portions were big and there's excellent value to be had here.

There is no seating so don't go expecting to be able to eat there. ;) The food came at the chosen time and was packaged in a box. Delivery service was efficient and on time. Spicy Noodle House became my go-to place for yumminess and a bit of home cooking away from home. My favourite meal was the beef brisket in noodles. The beef brisket was tender and incredibly flavourful. It reminded me of how my mom made it, but without the turnips. This place took them out, which I appreciated! The noodles were thick and chewy. The broth was so good. I never had a disaster with the broth getting delivered to me. I also got these huge dumplings that were filled with pork goodness. Sadly, I don't see them on the menu anymore. However, if you get something similar, such as their wontons, you can't go wrong. They are so delicious and comforting. This place is generous with portions. I have also had their mooshi. I've done the pork, beef, and chicken. I am missing the vegetable to complete my mooshi mission. It was all good. It's funny how I only have had mooshi in Winnipeg. My friends who have never tried Philippine cuisine all loved it and were impressed. As well, the small trays had a large amount of food. Very good value for the dollar. The owners were very nice as it is a family business. As none of us knew the meaning of Kapampangan we googled it to discover that Pampanga is a province in the Philippines and is known as the "Culinary Capital of the Philippines". Not surprising with food this delicious. I would highly recommend trying their food as it adds to the rich mosaic of Winnipeg's culinary scene.

Three different meat choices -- sweet and sour ribs, dry breaded pork, or sesame chicken -- with rice or noodles, and with Chop Suey, and consomme to start. $9.99, and you could also get another or extra order of meat for an additional $3.00. No regular menu in effect, or at least we weren't offered one I ordered the sweet and sour ribs, and it took me back to 1973, when I lived in the bush, in a town with no Chinese restaurant, and we were all cooking from recipes from Wok with Yan! The rice was okay (it's hard to screw up fried rice); the Chop Suey reminded me of the two can format of Chun King, and the ribs were like those cooked in a pot on the stove by my mother, with the ketchup/brown sugar sweet and sour sauce, and the meat with rubbery bones and all! I had the Sesame Chicken on the side as an extra; it was dry, with no sauce. And no soy sauce or salt and pepper on the table? Like, WTF? All in all a rather pathetic experience. My advice: don't bother.
