Elizabeth really takes the time to evaluate what you're most interested in learning so our instruction felt very personalized to our needs. It was fun and we had a great time learning an abundance of techniques. It felt super nourishing and Elizabeth really took the time to correct positioning so we were taking care of our own body while learning to also take care with our partner's. She's thought of everything and really pays attention to the details, like healthy snacks and printouts so you remember each technique. I haven't had a massage from her yet, but after getting a sampling from her demonstrating techniques, I would really love to. Her knowledge is as a solid as her grip (very!). Do not underestimate the power of aromatherapy!! I needed a mental reset and some physical relaxation to deal with some personal life stuff. I was blown away by the impact of a "raindrops" session with Elizabeth. This is not your garden variety nice-smelling chill out. Her instructions were clear, and she has the depth of knowledge that is important for teaching. She was supportive and encouraging while also offering helpful criticism in a kind and constructive way to make sure we would be practicing safely, which was what I really wanted. She's also very intuitive and knew what techniques would work best for our bodies just by watching us work on each other. Elizabeth is super kind and welcoming. I was running late for my first appointment, but she didn't make me feel rushed or like our time would be cut short, instead opting for some friendly conversation so we could get to know each other as I looked over my intake forms. I've had a few massages in my life but I've never been able to communicate clearly what my problem areas were or what I wanted, beyond the standard "what pressure do you like" question. Elizabeth asks her clients to fill out an intake form that covers how you're feeling, if you have any particular concerns, a brief relevant medical history, and a few other questions. Elizabeth made it clear that I only had to answer to the degree I felt comfortable, but she does read what you put down and ask clarifying questions, so it's in your best interest to be honest. As for the massage itself, it was fantastic. It's been three and a half hours since I left and I'm still so relaxed I can hardly move. (I have no idea how I drove myself home.) Elizabeth checked in with me regularly about pressure and sensitivity (I'm ticklish) and when we discovered I tend to flinch when I get touched unexpectedly, she worked with me to maintain contact, announce her movements, and when she took oil breaks she always returned to exactly the same place she left off. She also found a couple of previously unknown-to-me tender spots and soothed each one until it could be massaged without issue. We kept up a conversation through the beginning of the massage, but I tend to become nonverbal as I relax, and she was very accommodating of that. I didn't feel pressured to keep chatting, but she did continue to check in with me and graciously accepted mumbled "mm-hm"s in lieu of verbal confirmation. Overall a fantastic experience. If I wasn't moving out of the country next week I would absolutely become a regular. read more

I have visited Wellnest twice (so far) for a massage. The first visit was during a terrible head cold. The massage relaxed my mind, improved circulation, and most important relieved my congested sinuses. The second visit was a follow up to the first and an attempt to relieve the tension in my back (desk job!). Both experiences where very enjoyable and much needed. The pressure was spot on and massages thorough. A real effort was put forth to make sure I was comfortable physically and relaxed mentally which really made the experience so much more beneficial.
