We both took a menu (amuse - starter - intermediate - main course - dessert). Me and my girlfriend got the same plate, but with a different key ingredient. The starter was ok. An intermediate course was a cheese dish, but since I'm not into cheese, I requested an alternative. I got a plate of lettuce. Lettuce, not a salad. The main course was excellent: duck with foie gras sauce, this was by far the best dish. The dessert was ridiculous ... I will post photos later on. A tip for this business: buy some new plates. They'd also…read morehauled out a small fridge for sodas, a fryer to make fresh French fries, several tables and chairs. They even had a beer tap! A delicious, generously sized sandwich eaten in the shade of a thousand year old church??? How do you beat that? This would never happen in the US. It would be illegal in most places. But in France it's just one of millions of touches of elegance that are part of normal life here. It makes a visit here a little more magical and the infuriating quirks of France a little more bearable.
